My question is this, and I really hate to even ask it. BUT, I am brand new to this type of endeavor so I'm just going to ask away. After determining what niche you are comfortable with and are ready to find affiliate programs to suite your product needs, are we just talking about finding dropshippers for the products you decide to sell? Or am I missing something here? I haven't read the Super Affiliate Handbook completely yet so perhaps it's addressed there. I was just going through the forum to get familiar with it and thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks

I would say that being an affiliate means that you don't get involved in the order fulfilment side of things i.e. you're not responsible for the sale.

Dropshopping is you selling the products directly and getting a third party to fulfill the order.

Which ever way you decide to operate your business is entirely dependant upon what you are prepared to do.

Personally, dropshipping doesn't appeal to me whilst being an affiliate does. The Super Affiliate Handbook gives you some very good reasons as to why being an affiliate can be advantagous.

Hello Bill,

Yup... you'll find those answers when you read the Handbook.

I do some dropshipping through http://windingway.com and the biggest difference between that and being an affiliate is that you must handle the order processing and pass that on to the manufacturer so they can ship to your customer.

With some dropshippers, if the customer decides to take a refund, the product will have to go back to you, which means that you just bought it! Aargh.

Ultimately, marketing as an affiliate is much less hassle than any other way of doing business on the 'net.

Cheers,
Ros

Thanks Rosalind for answering my question. I do have a TON to read and learn about all of this. But I 'm pretty determined to make this work for me. Thanks again...

Hi All,

Mark, yes they are beautiful watches indeed and I have several. Smile

They sell very well because they are unique... which is something we should all look for when we are promoting products online, whether as affiliates or dropshippers.

Cheers,
Ros
