| Does anyone have any input/critique of Third Sphere hosting? I am looking for a company for my first website, and Third Sphere looks pretty good, but some input from people who use it would be a big help! |

Hi Octmaymom,
Thirdsphere is my third ecommerce system. I used IBill.com from June 2001- Sept 2003 as they had payment processing and a tracking/shopping cart delivery system. Then they decided to no longer offer services to Canadian based merchants (which has since changed).
Then I went to QuickPayPro (Sept 2003-Sept 2004) as they offered similar ecommerce features as 1shoppingcart but at a fraction of the price. When QPP upgraded their system I had to move as it didn't work anywhere near as well as it once had.
So I moved to Thirdsphere and am still there. But before I moved there I asked Third, since the infrastructure was similar to QPP, if the same thing would be happening with them as had happened at QPP. They told me they had their own tech people and basically, it wouldn't. (I don't recall their exact words as that was in 2004).
I like that it also has web hosting. I was easily able to one-click install a Wordpress blog and a PHP review script that I had purchased (including setting up the database). This wasn't the case at another web host I use.
The automation station part was easy to use as it was very similar to QPP. It comes with instructions on how to set it up. You can set-up tracking links (which I use with my Pay Per Click campaigns), you get unlimited (I think) sequential autoresponders (which I use to follow-up with purchasers of my ebook), you can set-up your own affiliate program, and the shopping cart allows you to set-up with a payment processor (that are listed on their site) as well as use paypal as your second option - unless that's the only payment processor you plan on using.
The control panel is intuitive. Support gets back to me within a day or two. (I haven't kept track of the exact time interval.)
For my needs - it's perfect. I think 1shoppingcart may provide more features, but I didn't need those extra features. Plus $24.95 US /mth for Thirdsphere (which includes hosting) vs $69 per mth US for 1SC (for similar features) made the decision easy.
Hope that helps.

Hi Octmaymom,
I use Thirdsphere Hosting and have been my whole internet career.
I Love them. I could go into lots of detail but you can email me if you need more info. Let me just say that you won't be disappointed and their
support has really been responsive and helpful.
For the features and the price, it's my best recommendation.

Hi Octmaymom,
I thought I'd chime in and also praise Thirdspherehosting.
It's easy to use, and I think it's a great deal for the price considering what you get.
So,....that's another 'pro' vote. So far, I don't see any 'cons'.
Good luck. |
