I signed up to the Aweber autoresponder from the link on this site (hope you got good commission Rosalind
The idea of being able to use it for more than one site appealed - but it looks so complicated that i'm scared to use it. Before I do any serious damage to the thing can someone please tell me - if i make a mistake on it - is it undoable, or are there certain things i won't be able to change afterwards? Oh, and does it get any easier to use? Thanks. |

Just a little update. I am now using Aweber and I love it. Like all other software - it's easy once you know how. I did have a small disaster - I had to add some names manually that i already had on my mailing list. I added them to the wrong newsletter, for a different website! Never mind, no harm done, and some of those people actually went ahead and signed up for both websites - even though they're about totally different things.
Anyway, just to say, I highly recommend Aweber Autoresponse - thank you for recommending it Rosalind. |

Sorry to keep going on about this wonderful bit of equipment - but i put a completely new website online this morning. I used aweber on it for the newsletter, and I already have had a lot of people joining. I can't recommend this product enough (and no I'm not selling it!)
It has one of those built in almost unstoppable pop up things that come on when the homepage loads. I thought I would need to buy one of those seperately, but it's included. And, you only pay the one monthly fee to use it for as many sites as you want.
If you are considering an autoresponder - this is the only choice. There is a link to it on this site - i think it is under software. |

I too signed up for Aweber through a link from NPT. I think they're number 1 because I've submitted multiple help tickets to them, and they always respond right away, they never get cranky at me. In this day and age, I'll spend my money with people that value me as a customer, and give me the customer service I need. |

| I too have got the hang of it now - I agree, it's an excellent service, considering you can use if for message from as many sites as you want for $20 a month. |

It really is Great isn't it?!!! I'm still rooting around in it trying to figure out all the things I can do with it.
One thing I need to figure out is this... When someone signs up for my Romance newsletter from which I offer a free eBook on Romantic Tips, can eweber redirect to a page where people can download that book. Also, can anyone tell me how I set that page up? |

Rather than using a redirect, you could provide the secret download URL in your first autoresponse message. This way ensures people actually read your email in order to get the free ebook. |

Hi all,
Callie47 ... you could do a redirect by adding this code to your Aweber Autoresponder form:
<INPUT type=hidden value=http://NetProfitsToday.com/_npc/ name=redirect>
Don't forget to put in your own URL and take mine out... LOL!
But I really like Will's idea... get them to actually read the first newsletter that you send them to get the link. A MUCH wiser move, IMHO.
Cheers,
Ros |

Thanks, Rosalind.
A potential disadvantage with the redirect method is that people don't have to sign up in order get to your secret URL; they just need to look at the source code of your sign-up form to see where it would redirect to. |

Adding some more kudos here...
I too signed up for an annual Aweber subscription upon Rosalind's recommendaton in her book. Just signed up this weekend. Within minutes I had my first autoresponder email in place and the sign up box on my page (took me a little longer to get the box up...but more of a Dreamweaver issue!).
Love Aweber so far. Incredibly easy to use. My advice, richerbrat: Use the "test" feature liberally -- you can send yourself the email you've created to ensure the links work and all appears correctly. Great tool. Thanks again Ros-
