Not really an affiliate question but hope someone can help here.
A couple of months ago I took on the distribution of a great US based product (child safety) with the proviso I only market to Australia. Currently it's a drop shipping arrangement.
Just today someone said to me they thought that if the parent company don't have an office in your country then, even if you only have online presence as a distributor, you are deemed to be the manufacturer for any product liability issues with your customers.
Help! There's no way I could afford the insurance (thousands). Does anyone know this to be true?

Hello Jo,
I guess none of the Forumites knows the answer, and I certainly don't have one for you.
Perhaps a Google search for 'dropshipping' and 'legal' might render a response?
Cheers,
