I haven't looked, but my guess is that Simurl.com is like TinyUrl.com which does protect your URL's /cloak your Id's.
Just remember that cloaking your ID's is not a big issue unless you are playing in the Internet Marketing arena. For most other markets, surfers haven't the foggiest notion about affiliate ID's and aren't likely to strip them.
