Hi there,
Most forums I have seen have the ability to report a bad post. This offloads a lot of work from the moderator. Forums that don't have this capability either have a harried moderator or spammy postings. I know you allow affiliate links in our sigs which is usually acceptable, but it's a matter of time before people start to register and post very spammy threads.
if you want to save some work monitoring for blatant "make money fast" posters you might want to look into this.
I don't know if phpbb supports such a feature. Most of the forums I have seen use vbulletin.
Don't want to panic you, but maintaining a forum takes some work to keep out the spammers and I am sure most of us here would help if we could.
Cheers,
Peter |

What friendly and obedient members you have
It doesn't appear that people are doing this, so maybe just wait and see.
Talking to myself here...

Actually Peter, seeing as how you raised the topic, I'm now counting on you to slap unruly posters upside the head.
But knowing what wonderful people NPT subscribers are, you'll be a little like the Maytag repairman.
Cheers,
