Please give me your opinion on a domain!

Hi,

I run a web hosting company in Chicago and I am almost ready to launch a new Blog hosting site.

I have the site almost built but I am deciding on the best brandable domain name to use. keep in mind that users will have a sub domain so it will be user.myblogsite.com

I have the following domains already and will use the ones I didn't pick as pointers. Please let me know which one stands out the best and really grabs you. I put this in the form of a poll..Thanks in advance for your opinion!

Hi Ken,

I voted for Blogini 'cause it's a VERY memorable name and nice and short too.

Those are probably the 2 most important factors anyone should consider when choosing a new domain name... those and that the name should also give the reader some idea of what the site is about.

Well, I was actually the first to vote, and I'm relieved to see that I went for "blogini" as well

Here's my comments on the names:

grabyourblog.com
- Would I want to tell MY customers to read my stuff on "grabyourblog"? Probably not.

masterofyourblog.com
- not really memorable, the word "of" tends to get dropped when you say stuff out loud, and I fear you'd end up diverting people to "masteryourblog.com"

blogthisdown.com
- one of these sites that feels like you were trying to register "blogthis.com" but didn't get there in time

magicalblogs.com
- feels too subject-area specific. If you wanted to launch a micro-site aimed at providing lots of blogs about Harry Potter, this would be ideal though.

blogini.com
- I like this very much. It comes over as stylish I can imagine surfing to blogini.com while listening on my iPod, and drinking a freshly pressed orange juice.

I do, however, very much appreciate the difficulty in finding good names - there are affiliate marketers in "first" sector (real estate investment in the UK) who have registered hundreds of domains, and pretty much anything with the word "property" in it seems to have gone.

Thank you for your opinion on this, I do appreciate it very much. Blogini is the one I am hearing the most positive things about and I do like it as well. I even purchased bloggini with 2 g's for a pointer in case someone mistypes.
