Okay, here's a TOTAL newbie question.
A little background first: My planned site will make specific recommendations for fashionable foundations, accessories and clothing for plus size women. We will post specific graphic links of items we like in the appropriate sizes. This will avoid slogging through pages and pages on the retailers site of clothes the plus size lady has no interest in.
The question is, whether we will be paid for just getting the customer to them.
(1) In other words, if we show an image of a blue size 20 dress, and she decides to instead buy a white shirt she finds on the retailers site, do we get credit for the white shirt sale?
(2) If she buys the dress and the white top, do we get credit for both sales?
(3) If she bookmarks their site and comes back a month later to buy something else, do we get credit that sale?
If it makes any difference, we will primarily be working with online retail stores, not direct manufacturers.
Love to hear any comments or suggestions!

Hi Guys,
The questions are specific to the vendors affiliate program.
But generally speaking, "yes" is the answer to all.
The most questionable one is #3.
This will depend on the cookie the site distributes.
But you can find out easily by reading the affiliate agreement.
Always read the agreements btw.
K?
It will save you a headache, promise.
Hope it helps!
Brad. |
