|
|
Hi all,
I found out today - but apparently this was breaking news in the beginning of February already - that the Overture bidtool Ros recommends in SAH has been taken down. Specifically, she suggests using this tool to evaluate competitors who pay-to-play (ppc) on page 64 of the revised edition (2006).
When you click on this link, it gives you a 410 Gone page and the following message:
Gone
The requested resource
/d/search/tools/bidtool/ is no longer available on this server and there is no forwarding address. Please remove all references to this resource.
The UK version is still working at - hmmm, have to have 15 posts before I can post a URL on here, so maybe later - but that only tells you about competition in the UK, of course.
I fear free tools are going the way of the dinosaur & the dodo...
Sorry to be the messenger of bad news!
Regards and success to all of us

Try this:
Oops, this is a crippled forum.
Here is the link in crippled format:
http:// freekeywords . wordtracker .com/
It's a free WordTracker keyword tool. It came into existence as a result of the shift behavior patterns of the Overture (Yahoo Search Marketing) keyword tool.

Hi,
I'm not sure what url your using,
but the tool is still online here:
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/
Now, this doesn't meen it will be forever.
I've heard rumors that it's going to be taken down.
But, I have to tell you, I don't consider this a loss!
In short, there are many other tools
that are much better than the overture tool.
All this tool is good for is a basic idea.
Don't rely on it for absolute numbers.
It's just a "suggestion" tool.
If you haven't heard about nichebot v2.0,
your missing the boat.

Hope it helps.

I could not disagree with you more. Giving away free tools whether it be tutorials or software is in my opinion the BEST way to build a customer base... once a customer/visitor to your websites trusts that you can add some real value... then you very likely have a receptive customer willing to buy your product/services...
Bottom line -give something of value to your website visitors and you may be surprised at the payoff..

The info still holds true it is a different shift on the over all concept. Times change and we adapt to them.
Best of luck! |
