Hello all,
Yes, I'm a newbie...and by that I mean that I know NOTHING about anything related to online marketing, web design, and all that glitters on here I've been one of those that use there computer to surf, chat, email...but not for anything of real value. I've recently decided it's time to make some attempt to learn something about how to make some extra money online. I"ve found soo many sites for ebooks about everything under the sun. I even bought one, but it was confusing to me. I"ve seen a lot of information about affiliate programs and clickbank, etc. I dno't know how to make even the most basic website....did find one site earlier today......expensive, but definately made it all 'look simple'....cbnichebuilder.com.....
Anyhow, I'm here...I'm new.....and I'll be attempting to read as many past posts on here as I can for any info that may help me....and of course....I'd LOVE any suggestions on how this newbie should start out on this road .....my apologies in advance that I can't afford to purcahse 'everyones' own program/ebook, etc.....I just don't have the cash......that's why I"m here (as you can see, I"m not much of a writer either...the article writing thing didn't work out well for me....yes I tried that) |

Hello Taubin
Welcome to the discussion forums. The members here are at all levels of experience in marketing, writing articles, building web pages, etc. This is the best place to start learning affiliate marketing because there is such an abundance of experience among others who enjoy helping people like yourself.
Read through the topics that interest you most and ask questions for clarification where you need it. When you are ready, put those tips to use, but one of the biggest mistakes is waiting until you think the process is perfect. You will end up waiting a very long time. Instead, just plain start and improve on the processes over time with the help from the people here.
Oh and keep your billfold tucked away. Nobody here will charge you to answer your questions.
Jim

Welcome Taubin!
That's great advice from Jim! We/I at Net Profits Today specialize in advocating a less expensive route to doing business on the 'net. There's no need to spend a fortune on every gizmo under the sun.. just the basics (domain, web hosting) and the rest is up to you. Save your money until it's coming in, and then invest in some of the higher tech software and tutorials that are out there.
Best to you!

I wish people would make some of these 'ebooks' and actual hardcopy book and sell them I know I can print it all out, but still...anyhow, I've been contemplating buying your book next Rosalind, I'm just a little hesitant as I am a bit squeemish about buying another ebook that may or may not tell me all that jazz about article writing....I"m NOT very creative in that writing department, although I have read and noted a few sites recommended someplace on here for purchasing articles. But anyhow, I"m working my way slowly towards an affiliate marketing website....not sure how to make one yet.....or a dropship site.....worldwidebrands seems to be highly recommended......I"m still researching TONS of info.....many of it conflicting...what one person says is great, another says is a waste of time..I dunno......anyhow, I try to monitor this forum and read more posts as I can.....thanks to all for putting up with me here and giving me advice/direction ! |

Hi Taubin,
The best advice I can give you at the moment is to pick one channel of Internet marketing (affiliate or dropship or whatever) and stick to it.
Trying to do a bunch of different things without a lot of direction will just frustrate you.
And btw, I do offer a softcover version of the Super Affiliate Handbook. Just look over in the right margin, where it says 'softcover'.
Cheers,
Ros |
