Need advise about unusual offline campain idea

I have a group of friends that are getting interested in learning what affiliate marketing is all about.
Some are close friends and I don't mind spending the time teaching them but others are somewhere between friends and acquaintances
I have sent them all links and resources but they want a walk through and I feel my time is valuable.

Can this be an opportunity to generate some income if some of them end up buying the handbook, wordtracker or a subscription to WA, for example?

I was thinking about getting them all together and make a presentation.

I know this is outside the realm of what we do as affiliate marketers, and affiliate marketing is not even my niche , but since they are the ones coming after me, I feel compelled to do something about it.

Any advise?

Doing a presentation, aka webinar, is a good way to make some
sales. You do the walk-through of the various areas and give them
just enough information to want more.

They will get more when they buy an Ebook or other product. If
the commission is high enough, or in the case of your own product,
the profit margin, you can spend more time with them on an
individual or group basis. The idea there is to introduce them to
even more products or services for the back-end or add-on sales.

A webinar is a good idea to get things going. I recommend you
have a good plan for it, have the call topics laid out, then announce
the date and time for the call. Use a service that tracks your
invitations and participants, such as GoToMeeting.com.

After the call you can send follow-up letters thanking them for
attending and reminding them of the sites you discussed on the
call. That way they will have the links as a reminder to visit those
sites.
