Hi guys - 1st post here and am looking for little advice from some seasoned marketers. I currently have a site with SBI and am averaging about 150 uniques a day, and am super excited about the future of my site, and of the affiliate lifestyle in general.
I'm getting to the point where I'd like a content management system where I can easily organize my content, post new articles easily, have access to all the available plugins, start a blog, start a forum, etc. SBI does not offer these things. But I love the community(forums) and super-easy research tools at SBI.
I got Ros's SAH and have fallen in love with Wordpress and the simplicity with which I can manage and update a site (I've played with another site hosted by HostPapa and cpanel.) It's somehat cumbersome to manage an HTML site(opposed to SBI templates) with SBI.
Questions:
1. Is Wordpress a viable CMS platform for a regular website with articles? (not just blogging)
2. How much different is Article Live from Wordpress?
3. Is my success attributable to the SBI process?, or could I have achieved this without them? (150 a day is "success" to me right now!)
4. Is SBI somehow promoting my site that I don't know about? (Other than updating my sitemaps.xml)
5. Is moving a site from Site Build It a difficult undertaking and will I lose traffic? (I'm not using their templates and have 100+ pages)
I'm waiting to decide where to host before I:
1. add a lot more content
2. go full-bore with PPC
3. build email campaigns
Sorry for so many questions, but this is extremely important to me since I think my success depends to some degree on the tools available to me.

Hi Brad,
Firstly congrats on getting 150 visitors/day. Is this mainly free traffic or PPC?
I've been using Article Live and I have to say it's a breeze to use and very powerful for AM newbies like me.
I started with Wordpress but moved over to Article Live and haven't looked back.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Thanks Jim -
It's all free traffic. I haven't yet tried to do PPC, however, it's on my list. Glad to hear Article Live is working for you. I'll look into it.
Has anyone had any experience using opensource CMS like Joomla or Drupal for their high content affiliate sites?
