Made My First $64

I am a freelance writer in addition to pursuing affiliate marketing. I started a few Squidoo Lenses on how to make money writing and advised that people sign up for Helium. I haven't made much money with Helium, but I love their profile feature for promotional purposes. So, I joined the Helium affiliate program through CJ and make $8 per lead. 7 People signed up. In addition, I stuck my referral ID for Associated Content on that lens and have made an additional $6.

While this in no way replaces my writing income, it makes me feel excited because that was my first $64 and soon I will have made my first $100, then my first $1000 and so on. I owe a lot of this to the Super Affiliate Handbook and Rosalind's advice, as well as some other resources and trial and error.

One thing I've learned is that consistency is the key to it.

Well done Katherine. I just started reading Squidoo recently and there's some great stuff on there.

I really do believe that many writers would probably make more cash as affiliates. Pay for writing online content is generally low - so hopefully you will make much more this way.
