Hi Rosalind and all yall,
My name is Rob West and I live in Conway, Missouri. We are just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Branson, Missouri. I live pretty much in the smack-dab middle of the Ozarks. Pardon the hill-billy lingo.
I have a blog on Blogger called BloggingForBillions dot com.
I am very new to the performance marketing industry even though I have known about it for a few years.
I bought the Affiliate Handbook and plan to incorporate as much as I can into my online marketing.
I am excited about being a part of NetProfitsToday community and the industry as a whole. I look forward to getting to know everyone here I can and I hope I can be of some help or inspiration.
Regards,
Rob West |

Welcome to the forum, Rob.
Kick back, browse through the various topics and join in some discussions.
Letting your "hill-billy lingo" show through will give us a feel for who you are.
Good to have you with us.

Hi Jim,
I appreciate the nice welcome. I am looking forward to learning a bunch of great stuff here and actually contributing something if I can.
I really have been looking for a good community of Internet marketers and I feel great about this network.
I really don't know where to begin. I have a blog on blogger and I am a new subscriber to Revenue magazine along with the recent purchase of Ros's Affiiliate Handbook.
All this information is intimidating and I don't know where to begin. If you can offer some suggestions I would be open to them.
I am thinking to begin by participating in NPT Forum as much as possible, reading the Affiliate Handbook when I can and keep on blogging.
If you can suggest some other tasks that might be good for me to incorporate please let me know.
Thanks,
Rob West |

Some things you can start with are:
+ Classified ads
+ Blogging - get your own blog and write articles
+ Article syndication - write unique articles and post them on places like http://www.ezinearticles.com http://www.ArticleAlley.com and http://www.ArticlesFactory.com
+ Comment on other blogs linking back to your site
+ Participate in this and other discussion forums. You will have an option to put an small add and link in your signature that shows up whenever you post a response or ask a question.
+ Join Yahoo! Answers, add links in your profile and answer questions. When you do, there is a box where you can link to your resource for the answer. This will usually be back to your site. Be careful here though, because entering an link unrelated to the question can get you in trouble.
+ Look in the marketing section of this forum for more ideas
As you can see, marketing online is not an easy task. It takes patience and focus to get the job done. Once you get it going on a schedule, the traffic will continue to grow.
Just make sure you are leading people back to a lead capture page to get their contact information.
Hope that helps.
