Hi Everyone,
You probably don't know where Brunei is. Our neighbors are Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia to name a few. The king was once the richest man in the world.
I joined this forum because I have a few questions from the book, SAH.
I registered a domain with bluehost, installed wordpress, installed a theme and now Im stuck.
Rosalind's instructions are great and easy to follow. I even look at her websites for reference. A few more reference websites would be great though.
Since email marketing was important as mentioned in the book, I've been trying for about 2 weeks now to create an opt-in form. I even got myself Dreamweaver.
Today is supposed to be the deadline for me to launch my website.
I'm frustrated by the delay but I will never give up. I'll set new deadlines and work even harder.
They say that if you want success, follow those who have succeeded. Like Rosalind, I also want to quit my job to spend time with my family and improve my health. (My job as a drilling engineer is literally killing me with the extended working hours and lack of sleep when Im on shift on the rig. Then there's the politics at the office which I cannot stand.)
It's nice to know that I'll probably have support here.
Best regards. |

Hello asgarmabuk,
Aaah, but we do know where Brunei is. I was in Borneo last year - right across the line.
It's easy to create code for you Aweber autoresponder - they supply it.
You just need to decide where to place it in your blog (I suggest the sidebar).
If you are HTML / CSS challenged, you might want to get someone from Elance or Scriptlance to do it for you.
Otherwise, I'm sure that I can tee an installation up for you - very inexpensively - through my assistant Joel. If you send a message through the Support Desk with the subject line "Aweber Code Installation", we'll be happy to help.
Cheers,
Ros |

Hi Ros,
It's really great to hear from you. Better still that you know this small part of the world. I travel quite a bit for courses and not many people I met knew.
Anyway, I attempted to use Matt's formmail but I don't know the location of bluehost's sendmail program in the server. I'm waiting for their reply.
As for Aweber, thanks for the tip, I'll look into it further since I need a professional autoresponder anyway.
But I am HTML/CSS challeged at the moment and if I still don't have the form by Tuesday next week I'll ask for Joel's assistance.
I Appreciate the support.
Thanks Ros. |

Hello asgarmabuk,
We are closer than you think when we are connected via the internet. We could get in touch with someone in second. Faster than you walk to your friend live next to you come to think about it.
BTW I am a Malaysian. Apa Kahbar (How are you) ? Kita kawan di Forum ini (We are all friends in this Forum) ?
I started using that but I have gave up, as a new starter have you consider using NVU software for you to do your first site. It is easy. I also learning Wordpress to do website.
Regards,
Steven Yap.

Hi Steven,
Well met. Khabar baik kawan. Nice website you have.
Did you design it with NVU?
How do you rate it in terms of ease of use? What about the learning curve?
And how do you compare it with Kompozer?
It's not actually my first website. The first one I hired a designer because I was in a hurry and it's not an affiliate site.
I am told that it is easier to add stuff (like articles) to an existing website using Kompozer. I'm guessing that it's similar to NVU. (Your comments please?)
I'm trying hard to stay with wordpress at the moment so I can get more things done but I could always use some extra resources for future projects.
Sorry to bombard you with all these questions but thanks in advance Steven. You're probably just the right person I need. (Your niche is something I would have gone into - Talk about the law of attraction!)
Best regards |

If you don't have Aweber yet, get it. I use it and love it. I've also seen more people thrilled with them than any other. Their customer support is darn good too. Their training resources are pretty impressive too.
Take it from a guy with techno-challenges of his own.
I suggest you check out Optiniche for all things Wordpress. Teli is really good at it.
It sounds like you're moving right along!!
I have heard of Brunei. Honest! |

Thanks Dan,
I will be getting Aweber soon.
Too bad about optiniche though. I saw this on the website:
"Sorry, but you're too late. The OptiNiche ebook guide has been retired. I may decide to release the guide again in the future, but right now, admission is closed."
Anything else that comes close? |

Try Wordpresstutorials.com.
A bit pricey, though. |

Looks great but it sure is mighty expensive. Might be good value though considering the videos.
Thanks again Dan. |
