I just realized I broke the first forum rule, Ros -- to introduce myself!
My name is Dee. My day job is as a Director for a top-30 Internet Retailer (I'll leave it at that). It's inSANEly stressful. There are so many days come home in tears. The other days, I'm usually just fighting to bring my blood pressure down! It's no way to live. Yet, I still LOVE the power of the internet, Web-content and the infinite opportunities that are all right there at your keyboard.
I finally got smart and purchased Rosalind's E-book many months ago. I ate it up and have slowly but surely started to build my site. Ros, you inspired me more than you know...and have given me the hope I need. It's been tough to devote the time I need to to my site. However, this past weekend I literally camped out on Sunday. Wouldn't you know it, my first commission came through on CJ that night. I considered it a sign.
I look forward to sharing many ideas, solutions and successes with you all and learning from you every day! |

hi spotmea30,
i definately here where your coming from. Coming from a highly stressful job myself - i find it hard sometimes to come home and just enjoy quality time with my little boy, due to the stress, problems & desicions i have to make at work. Anyways after i purchased Ros' book, i was sure i could start my own online business.
Before i use to wake up dreading going to work - but now i wake up everyday excited. Excited and what other things i can do to improve my site, etc.
Anyways thought i'd introduce myself considering i too am new.
Welcome and hope to speak soon.
Ciao

Welcome Spotmea30,
Good to have you aboard.
You will learn a lot here. And by the way, don't let the stress get to ya.
I am probably a little older than you, but I can tell you this: If you don't let the opinions of others affect ya, you will be fine.
Used to be that I wanted to impress everyone. Noadays, I really don't give a (*&(& what anyone thinks. I'm happier that way, and, believe it or not, a lot more productive.
Welcome aboard, and don't be a stranger. |

Greetings!
My girlfriends from Florida, she says she'd never consider moving (bit of a nuisance considering I'm in the UK but meh, 5 years and counting she's worth it
I'm still warming up myself, but Ros' book, this forum and other forums like it have been a godsend. If all the information could be packaged and put on the shelf, the price tag would be in the thousands!
Good luck |
