I’ve got to chuckle every time I see one of those PayPal Donation buttons which encourage site visitors to ‘Support this Blog’ (or forum, or site), 'Buy Me a Beer' or 'Buy Me a Coffee'… and actually, the "Buy Me a Beer" buttons DO make sense.
It’s a crafty way to make a few extra bucks, and if it works for them, that’s great.
But I’m not going to do that.
Nope, instead of asking for donations to support my bad habits, I've got a better idea.
My birthday is coming up on December 11th, and as opposed to gallons of coffee, I'd love to receive a BIRTHDAY card… yes, a REAL birthday card!
Of those I receive, one lucky person will receive the IMC's "Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on the Internet – Version 2005" and the softcover version of my book, "The Super Affiliate Handbook: How I Made $436,797 in One Year Selling Other People's Stuff Online".
(If you’ve already got both, don't worry, we’ll find a product of equal value for you…)
Please send cards to:

NOTE: Please be sure to print your name and your email address (legibly) in the card, so that I may get in touch with you.
Happy birthday to me, Happy birthday to me….

Hi Ros,
So the Birthday Greetings will rule out us Brits then! With Christmas fast approaching and our legendary Postal Service, you'll be lucky if you get it for Valentines Day
I'm guessing an e-Birthday Card is out of the question
Well here's a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY from me anyway.
Hope you have a great day

Hello Simon,
Thanks very kindly for your good wishes... and thanks much for raising that point!
Of course I would never want to rule anyone out, so here's the revised plan:
The card:
May celebrate either my Birthday... or Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaaa, New Year's... you pick. (Note: Happy 'Old and Wrinkled' sentiments will be immediately disqualified. )
Must arrive prior to December 31st, 2006
The Winner will be announced on January 5th, 2006.
So, there ya go... start writing.
Cheers,
Ros |

Hello mixeduptunes,
Yours was the very first message I saw this morning (post notification through email), so that was very special... thank you!
Now I must be off to fluff pillows and figure out how to cook Swedish meatballs before guests start arriving for my BD/Christmas open house.
Have a good one, all!
Cheers,
Ros |
