Hi there!
I just finished reading 'Retire Young, Retire Rich' by the same guy that did the 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' series... and WOW!
Great book, with some great thought-proviking ideas.
Next, I'm on to 'Business Plans for Dummies'... hehehe!
Anyone got a good read on the go?
And I don't wanna know about CDs, DVDs or seminars, we're talking BOOKS here! Wanna talk about one of those... start your own thread!  |

Good to hear from you!
You're right... Robert Kiyosaki's books are highly motivating. I've read most of them.
I also found Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen's 'One Minute Millionaire', (which is 2 books in 1) very
motivational.
For a broader perspective, I loved "Adventure Capitalist" (pub. 2003) by legendary investor, Jim Rogers; who also wrote "Investment Biker". It's the story about his 3-year trip road-trip around the world, looking for global investment opportunities. The modified yellow Mercedes that he drove was pretty cool too!
Just 2 for now, but I got a room full!

I just finished reading "Don't Make Me Think" by Steve Krug. An excellent and easy read for anyone looking to improve their site's usability (= profit$).

I'm a big fan of Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I have the PDF File posted here, if anyone wants a free download.
I also really enjoyed Conversations with Millionaires by Mike Litman. Will check out the recommendations above, too - great thread! |

Steve Krug's book looks interesting- I'll definitely be putting that on my Wish-List!
Having a strong I.T. and Web-based background (MSc. in Internet Computing, you know!) I view every site I ever see from the perspective of a developer.
It's really easy to get bogged down with your passion for your site and forget that other people actually have to use it!
Where it gets really clever is what's going on here and on a fair few other sites- combining usability, accessibility and age-old tried and tested marketing strategy to ake some mah-HONEY!
If you are trying to make your site all things to everyone (I.e. usable, accessible (i.e. to blind users, people on PDAs and mobiles, etc.) and an effective marketing tool) but it still looks pretty shoddy, I recommend:
"The Zen of CSS Design- Visual Enlightnement for the Web"
by Dave Shea CSS Zen Garden and Molly E. Holzsclag
...but be warned- it's not for the light-hearted! |

Good point! I'll definitely check out your recommendation.
I often find myself re-reading tutorials or articles that I have put up on the site and deciding to make changes to them. Sometimes I find that I write with a lot of assumptions - assuming that they already know x, y & z. It was very helpful to me when a few different people (complete newbies) mentioned that they thought it was great info, but that they were still lost! That kind of feedback is invaluable  |

Hi All,
If you're interested in a free copy of "Think and Grow Rich", I highly recommend Rebecca Fine's version at the "Science of Getting Rich Network".
Her version has been professionally formatted for easy-on-the-eyes reading.
I suggest that you take a good look around Rebecca's site as well. I met her at Yanik's Underground Seminar last year... and WHAT a WONDERFUL woman! She truly embodies what she teaches at the TOGR network.
What's interesting is that TOGR is a public domain work that she's built an entire business (a very lucrative business) around. If you are considering using public domain materials to start an Internet business, her site is a must-see.

They say you can measure a man or woman's wealth by the size of his or her library.
Mine is HUGE!
Well... So much for that theory. LOL!!!
I have read SEVERAL books over the years but my favorites have been:
1. Maximum Achievement by Brian Tracy - I am never too far from that book.
2. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki - Duh!
3. The Master Key System by Charles Haanel - An old classic.
4. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill - Another Duh!
5. The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles - Another old classic.
Oh, and of course, Ros' book The Super Affiliate Handbook. 
Believe me, there are SO many more I have enjoyed but those stay pretty close to me often.
