|
|
I thought of using a questionnaire so people can ask me a question and I will get their email to answer them back when my site is up and running
good or bad idea to advertise on ppc?
edit
Just tested and it displayed my address at the bottom
Which address do you add? |

| Set up a separate e-mail address for that form. |

AH! I SEE NOW!
And YES, it's a good idea.
You DO want to be as open as possible like that.
Identifying yourself is VITAL for some to trust you.
You could get a p.o.box if it REALLY bothered you,
but a p.o.box creates distrust for some.
And I just wouldn’t worry about it anyway.
Iv'e never heard of anyone having a stalker show up ,
you might just get an extra piece of junkmail here or there.
But if your like me, with the pile we get, I couldn't tell anyway
Mailed out fliers is one thing,
but with email, consider the canspam law...
Organizations that send commercial email
must include a valid U.S. postal address or P.O box.
(if your subject to us law. ie living here. I don't know about other countries)
See some stuff on the canspam laws here:
http://www.itsallabouttraffic.com/canspam.html
(fyi: it's old, and from when I was selling leads)
Trust is earned in LOTSA ways.
Being transparent to your list is a BIG one!
If they feel like they could get a hold of you if needed,
they will be more likely to trust you.
I even include my personal phone number in (some) correspondences.
And the bottom line is, when I DO get the occasional caller,
I usually enjoy the conversation, and gain a friend!
It's not like tech support for me, but it DOES depend on the subject.
Hope it helps! |

You can avoid "P.O. box stigma" by using the physical address of the post office.
For instance, 21 Jump Street, #102.
Who's to know? |

WOW!
That's a REALLY good idea!
Learn something new every day
I know a similar trick from my mail order days.
When you wanted to "spit test" fliers that were "snail mailed",
you could put "dept. 21" or "pick-a-word dept." or "Suite 20" or "personel" etc.
This seperates the tests, and you can track them that way!
Thanks for the fresh twist on the idea Dan!!
