This is My Halloween Costume
I love Halloween. I buy boxes and boxes of chips and candy well in advance - eat most of it - then go out and buy some more.
Treating the tykes is great fun, tricking the teenagers (then treating them) is more fun still and running up and down the stairs enroute to the front door all night is a great work-out.
That said, I’m not a big fan of wearing Halloween costumes. The mask I wore while shelling out last year was suffocating. It was also nearly impossible to see anything, so running up the stairs became ‘tripping’ up the stairs more often than not.
So when we were invited to a Halloween party this year - I knew I’d have to do something different - and CafePress came to my rescue again with the This is my Halloween costume Baseball Jersey shown to the left.
OK, I know it’s a costume cop-out, but I plan to add an orange feather boa to dress it up a bit.

Very creative costume Ros. I love the idea of having a Tee-shirt for every occassion…it’s easy and comfortable.
The boa will be a nice touch.

Hi Ros,
Yes, I pretty much feel the same way about Halloween costumes. I have even on occasion been called a ‘party pooper’ if you can believe that. I think that with tight black pants and black heels along with the boa, you can pull this off.

P.S. My daughter is a nurse and wears scrubs and so guess what I am going as this year….Nurse Ratchett!

You could get some of the orange makeup and ‘paint’ on a half mask. Or just use some water base acrylic paint. Either one stays put and is very breathable. You could even outline it with black.

You’re my kinda gal - great idea to join in the “spirit” of the day, but not too complicated. I’m all for keeping it simple! Even though most of us enjoy Halloween, to me the really fun part is seeing all those little kids dressed up and having a blast.

You go girl. We’re on the same page. How does it feel to be a clever old not-suffering-for-fashion-anymore fuddy-duddy:)
