Wow that’s some success! I’ve been teaching online with free videos and songs for years and just started to try and monetize the following. I created a membership site where I charge $19/month for access to all the courses, forums and students can send me videos of their playing.
I also teach others how to set up their own membership site. Nowhere near $150K but hopefully one day!
Free samples can really be effective – especially in the way he’s done them with free videos. That means they can go viral easily. Plus, he’s in an area where it is easy to do a video demonstration of something which can be effectively learned from a video clip.
