Picapp: Free Access to Premium Images
How would you like to use high-end, up-to-the-minute images of celebrities, sports, current events, politics and much more — for free?
Enter PicApp.
PicApp’s images are provided by leading content providers, new and photo agencies such as Getty Images, Corbis, Image Source , Jupiter Images, Newscom, and Pacific Coast News.
PicApp stock images are categorised into two types – editorial and creative.
The editorial search option is especially useful for bloggers who want access to pictures of celebrities, but don’t have the time or inclination to run down to LA during Oscar week.
So, if I were to run celebrity dating news on 101Date.com and wanted to dish on Ben Affleck’s various daliances with his female co-stars while Jen stays at home with the kids – this would be a great shot to include:
Or, if I just needed to catch a glimpse of Tiger Woods’ gorgeous mug every once in awhile, I’d just post this pic:
You can either embed image codes (after you register for a Picapp account) and there’s also a Wordpress plugin available for Picapp.
Check ‘em out — you won’t believe the goodies.

I wonder how this coincides with the FTC rules about celebrity endorsements.
Ros,
Wow, what an awesome resource. I’m always looking for good pix for my blog and hadn’t heard of this service before. Thanks for sharing this.
It’s hard to find free (and low cost) quality images that can be used for commercial purposes.

Hope that helps!

Awesome, awesome! I often blog about celebrity fashion but don’t often run pictures because I didn’t want to pay the $300 per pic price the various image sites require. Thanks for sharing this resource. Appreciate it!
Hi Diana,
True enough. I was thinking exactly of your type of niche when I blogged about PicApp. Glad it helped!
Cheers,
Ros
Thank you Rosalind for this amazing resource.
Have a great week!

Hi Rosalind,
Thanks for all the great resources! My question is how would you compare this to istockphoto? I can usually find pretty good pictures there, and for about one dollar I don’t have to worry about rights (I think -lol).
Thanks,
Adele
Hi Adele,
Thanks for your question.
I continue to use iStockPhoto and it’s always the first one that I go to nowadays when I need a quality pic.
As much as I would use PicApp for celebrity pics that you wouldn’t be able to get otherwise, I would rather pay a buck for comparable image that doesn’t require a straight link offsite.
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Ros
Thanks Rosalind, this looks like a great resource!
