    Network Position on MySpace Advertising

    Steven Sauve sent out a message on October 31st, outlining MaxBounty’s position with respect to advertising on MySpace by affiliate marketers.

    Here is a portion of that message…

    Effective immediately, MaxBounty’s affiliate terms and conditions will be updated to prohibit advertising of any type through MySpace accounts. This includes, but is not limited to, advertising via bulletins, comments, mail, profiles or any other area of a MySpace account. Any affiliate caught violating these terms run the risk of having their MaxBounty accounts terminated.

    Considering the MySpace T.O.S. prohibits commercial activity of any kind, that would definitely be the right position to take.

    So, how can affiiliates benefit from their MySpace profiles?

    Easy!

    You can still talk about your site’s subject matter (without mentioning your merchants or their offers) and then point that traffic to your site where your visitors can see your offers.

    Do it right and don’t risk your affiliations with MaxBounty or any other network.
