Lovin’ Amazon’s New Site Stripe
Amazon has just made it SO much simpler to get your affiliate links from them.
With their new Site Stripe, you just navigate to the page of a product that you want to promote, click the ‘Link to this Page’ link in the Site Stripe bar (as shown in the graphic below), login (if you haven’t done so already) and voila! you’re at the Customize and Get HTML page.

I think it’s very cool and will make it so much easier for a non techy like me to add products to my site and blog.
I was so happy that they did this. I used to keep two amazon windows open whenever I was making a site and it took forever. This is so much faster and simpler. I think my husband was a bit underwhelmed when I was explaining it to him, but he never makes affiliate links.
Now that’s called “making life easier for your affiliates”….this is a real nice addition.
It’s definitely a step in the right direction, but still not as simple as it could be. It would be ideal if we could just get the link on its own – the biggest pain of the whole process (digging the link out of the href expression they give you) is still around.
@Melanie
To get the url, you can just right click on an image or text link and select ‘copy link location’ (in Firefox)
No need to rummage in the html!
I kept hearing about the Amazon stripe… and just never took the time to figure out what all the fuss was about.
Thanks Ros for the explanation in “short version” style. It was easy to open up Amazon and their is that stripe with everything I need.
Now… how did Amazon get so smart? Making it easy to be an Amazon affiliate… what a concept. LOL
Please what must i do to get this link, I cant see the link
Thanks Dirk
I have been using this nifty little helper for about 2 weeks now and I love it. It has saved me so much time! What a great addition to an already robust set of affiliate tools.
I appreciate anything to make my life easier and Amazon’s handy little “Link to this Page” is a fantastic time saver.
