I am writing to you hoping you can answer a question for me. I have in the past year lost my husband to cancer. Also lost my job during a downsizing. I now take care of my special needs grandson. I was watching Good Morning America, the topic being Jobs and work at home Companies. I have been looking at some of the websites and have come across your website. Maybe you can tell me if there really are any that pay and how to get started. I am struggling to keep my home at this time and with my grandson need flexibility. First of all, I am so sorry to hear of your loss(es), current situation and certainly understand your skepticism about online business opportunities.
You’re wise to be skeptical but there are good opportunites available to those with a basic skillset and willingness to work.
In a nutshell I would suggest that if you can communicate well in writing (which it appears you can) and have a hobby, interest or specialized knowledge in a topic about which you are passionate and that hobby or interest is shared by a large percentage of the population; then you have a good starting point and chance for success either as a affiliate marketer/blogger (earning commissions from online retailers), a freelance writer OR selling your own infoproduct.
If the first appeals, most people who are new to affiliate marketing read my Super Affiliate Handbook, which is a step-by-step guide that teaches you how to choose a niche, start a blog, write reviews and join affiliate programs.
If you’re interested in doing some freelance writing and need some guidance as to where to start, I’d recommend Christina McDonald’s ebook.
Lastly, if you’ve got a book in you, then David Lovelace’s infoproduct guide would be very helpful to get started in that direction.
Each is a bonafide and reasonably priced program that will teach you all you need to know about the particular subject.
