Control Spam with this Simple Technique

I have one question please: How does registering an email address for each afiilliate control spam?

Thanks, Linda! That’s a good question!

I believe you mean ‘registering an email address for each merchant‘ however.

So, here’s how it works.

You join Merchants A, B and C’s affiliate programs.

For each, you create a separate email address, eg. merchant-a@mydomain.com, merchant-b@mydomain.com and so forth.

Over time you receive standard affiliate information from Merchants A and C, but then you start to notice that a lot of spam is being sent to the merchant-b@mydomain.com.

In all likelihood Merchant B probably sold your address or are affiliate spammers themselves.

You can do one of two things.

1. Terminate your association with their program, or;
2. Change the email address to merchant-b-2@mydomain.com and see whether the situation improves.

My choice would be #1 above.
