Fresh News Theme by Adii
Pictured below is the Fresh News Theme most recently released by Adii of Premium News Themes.
Nice, huh?
The Fresh News was designed and coded by Magnus Jepson. You’ll notice some similiarities between this and Adii’s other themes as it was built on the framework of previous Premium News themes.
Adii has included 6 color schemes with the theme, including:
- Default (shown above)
- Brownie
- Grey
- Ice Blue
- Simply Red
- Whitey
- Cool Blue
- BlacknBlue
They’ve also included a standard blog layout template that will make your homepage look like a traditional blog without losing any of the functions and features built into the themes. All that is required to switch between the 2 looks is selecting the appropriate option.
I use the Premium News theme on RosalindGardner.com (ignore the wonky search button – I was playing around with the CSS and haven’t gotten around to fixing it yet) and what I especially appreciate about these themes is that features such as Flickr, Feedburner and banner ad management are integrated.

It just seems to un-conceptual. It looks like there was no thought behind the code, other than to make money from it. I don’t know, I just don’t think that people need to have replicated themes distributed for money. You can find a theme just like this for free. When we make themes, we try and make them as unique as possible, and cheap. But I guess that’s just our opinion, you know – to have theory, thought, and concept behind your art. I suppose Monet never did that either…

I must disagree with your suggestion that you can find themes ‘just like this for free’. I haven’t found anything remotely this attractive or feature rich on the free download theme sites.
However, if you can point our readers to free themes that you deem as ‘art’, then please, feel free to supply us with the URL’s.

I agree. There are plenty you can get for free like this. Its seems cheap looking for $100… Also if you head to revolutiontheme.com you can find a WAY better news theme for less! Plus they offer tutorials etc…
Nice themes are a lot harder to find or free then most people are willing to accept. :/
I agree with Ros. You really do get what you pay for. I know the commercial links found on a lot of free themes are there to compensate the coder. But, gheesh, do I want to advertise a casino in Europe on my subtle little religious site?
Another big factor is whether it’s widget-ready, or at least has some SEO features built-in….most of them don’t.
Please. If anyone knows of any good looking free themes with really good functionality embedded, please let us know.
