Fixing Wordpress Database Errors
Have you ever seen an error like this show up on your Wordpress blog?
“WordPress database error: [Can’t open file: ‘wp_comments.MYI’. (errno: 145)]
SELECT COUNT FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘0’”
Well Steve Hetrick, the wizard from DataWordPro who manages my servers has the perfect solution…
Full Moon & candles,
magic times three
we summon the power
set database error free.
He says that the incantation works or that you can “just run the repair utility in Cpanel MySQL”.

Rosalind,
Believe me, I’ve tried different incantations, most of them having some very colorful language inserted, and the only thing that works is the repair.

Hi Dewald,
So true. But it’s entirely worth saying the incantation for the smile it brings to your face.
Cheers,

Love this tip! Love the incantation as well… of course I would have to say something to that effect as I was pushing the little REPAIR button. lol.
It’s gonna help a lot of folks out to know this.. MYSELF included!!
It’s one of the reasons why I am still a faithful reader after all these years. I still learn something new every time the NPT comes out!!
Thanks Ros!!
