Earn MORE from Your Google Referals
Do you sell products to Internet marketers? Then you’ll appreciate these improvements to the Google referal program.
I talk about using pay-per-click advertising a LOT, because it works! In the latest Affiliate Census, there was a decided correlation between those who achieve success as affiliate marketers and their use of paid search marketing.
And as an affiliate marketer who teaches other affiliate marketers, I appreciate that I can share my knowledge about what works, point you to good service providers and make a few bucks in the process from referals to Yahoo! Search Marketing, Microsoft AdCenter and Enhance Interactive.
However, I was always slightly cheesed in the past with the Google Adwords referal program in which publishers only earned $20 after the advertiser they referred spent $20.
Well, I’m pleased to say that Google has made improvements to their referal program that include bonuses of up to $2000 buckeroos!
For Google Adwords, you be credited with $5 when an advertiser you refer first spends $5 (over and above the the $5 sign-up fee) within 90 days of sign-up. If that same advertiser spends $100 within 90 days of sign-up, you will be credited with an additional $40.
Cool… a little perk right away, with the possibility of a nice infusion later. Encouraging!
But wait, there’s potential for a bonus now too! When you refer 20 advertisers who each spend more than $100 within 90 days of signing up, you get a $600 bonus. However, bonus payouts are limited to 1 per year.
There are improvements to the Google Adsense referal program too.
Refer a publisher to sign up for Google Adsense and if they earn $5 within 180 days of sign-up, you will be credited with $5. If that publisher earns $100 within 180 days of sign-up and is eligible for payout, you will be credited with an additional $250.
And, best of all, if you refer 25 publishers in any 180 day period who each earn more than $100 within 180 days of their respective sign-ups and are all eligible for payout, you will be awarded a $2,000 bonus. WOOHOO! Once again, however, the bonus payouts are limited to 1 per year.
There are a couple more ways to earn from Google as well…
Refer your visitors to Firefox plus Google Toolbar and when they run Firefox for the first time, you receive up to US$1 in your account, depending on the user’s location. Users who download and install the Pack put up to US$2 in your account.
To signup for the referal program, sign up for Google Adsense (see links below) and then look for “Adsense Setup’ and then ‘referals’.
And just in case you haven’t done so yet, you may also sign up for Google Adwords, the Pack and Firefox plus Google Toolbar below.
P.S. The NEXT improvement they could make for publishers is allowing straight HTML links. The links above are javascript and allow no text modification. Hoo-ey!

Thank you

Good question Sven! And I was derelict in not telling you! You’ll have to sign up for Google Adsense and then look for “Adsense Setup’ and then ‘referals’. The link is included in the post above.

Not only does this article have value, it shows that you are on top of what’s going on NOW in your field.
It’s a good lesson for those of us who are communicating with potential and current customers. Not just spouting technobabble but relevancy of current data.
