Click Flipping Anyone?
Part Two of Scott Boulch’s “Death of Adsense” report series is now available online. The second report is called “Life After AdSense, Climbing the Internet Marketing Food Chain“, and like the first, it is a no-pitch free report.
As I mentioned in my first “Death of Adsense” blog post, I don’t necessarily agree with Scott’s “Death of Adsense” proclamation or with his bleak assessment of list building as a money-making venture. I do agree however that Adsense revenues are not as good as they were because smart advertisers are no longer placing their ads on Google’s content network (Adsense). Heck, as a Google advertiser, I wouldn’t even consider wasting my money that way!
And I’ve been harping for a LONG time that total reliance on Adsense is NOT the way to go.
But I do like the ‘twist’ Scott takes in the second report (53 pages). He talks about ‘Click Flipping’, a method that he is using to replace the $50,000 a month he lost when his Adsense revenues went down the toilet. In a nutshell, he tells you how to promote CPA offers - which DO pay considerably better than Adsense - using PPC. He also includes an inspiring case study of an 32 year old woman with little internet marketing experience and not a lot of spare cash.
All in all, Scott’s “Death of Adsense” and “Life After AdSense, Climbing the Internet Marketing Food Chain“, together are a fine example of an ingenious list-building campaign, and both reports are very well-written with good detail and substantiation.
I highly recommend that you give both parts of “Death of Adsense” a good look.

The second report, like the first was well put together. I read the bones of his techniques a couple of times and it seemed sound. The strategy for tracking successful keywords looks interesting.
Scott explains that his Click Flipping sites are very easy to construct, indeed, his test site is little more than a redirect page. I can’t help wondering if this approach still works following the recent Google Adwords pricing change. I understand if the landing site has no “content value” that Google will penalise your ads.
Hope he explains a little more about his site building strategies, and what was that www.www thing about?
Great read and what a list building strategy!

Contentguy,
I too was wondering about the landing pages as well. I read both reports and as an avid PPC advertiser for over five years now, I certainly can agree with what he’s saying about click flipping.
I went to one of the sites he mentioned in the report about ringtones. It was just a re-direct to an affiliate landing page. I checked with one of my reps at one of the prominent CPA networks, and she said that a lot of advertisers are starting to use this technique again. (Many have always used it).
My question is this? While the affiliate manager said they were successful, her stats she gave me were not that impressive in regards to ctr and coversion rates. Has anyone reading this been advertising re-directs that go directly to a CPA lead landing page on Google or Yahoo? And, if so, is it really working, or is it past it’s prime?
Ros, curious as to your input as well. I know you are big on advertising pages on your sites thru PPC rather than just a landing page…
As always, keep up the great work.
J.
