Here’s a trick that Internet marketers use that you should know about.
When you try to leave the site, a window pops open and their ‘live virtual agent’ says something to the effect of…
Daisy Says: Hey wait! Super Guru wants me to remind you that this sale could be ending any moment. For a limited time Super Guru wants to offer you this insane opportunity for an easy two pay plan of $12222277. If you want to take one more look to make sure you don’t miss out just CLICK HERE
Take a look at the screen capture below. I typed ‘you’re a bot’ repeatedly and the bot just keeps on with the script that tries to sell me the product.
Now this must be a very effective method to capture additional sales, seeing as how many Internet marketers use it.
However, I don’t recommend that you offend your visitors’ intelligence with such ploys. In this business, reputation is everything and you don’t want to be seen as a marketer that uses tricks and deception to gain additional sales.
What I do recommend using is LiveAgent online chat software which allows you to watch and communicate with your visitors in real-time.
To use the hosted version of LiveAgent, all you need is Javascript enabled browser. There’s no software to install on your desktop.
You just login and you can manage live support from anywhere.

BANS to be Updated by April 1st
As a follow up to my post about eBay leaving Commission Junction and setting up their own Partnership program, as well as concerns expressed by BANS (Build a Niche Store) users, here’s part of the email reply that I got from Kelvin…

Affmeter Pro Update
A new version of Affmeter Pro ( 2.00.11 ) has just been release with the integration of Onenetworkdirect.
Too, we had a couple of questions through the Support Desk about security concerns while using Affmeter that I wanted to address publicly.
Affmeter Pro is desktop application, not a web based one. Therefore, your data is not transmitted to - or being retained by - a third party service supplier. Affmeter Pro automatically logs into your affiliate and network accounts and collects the statistics from your accounts into your local machine. Download Camtasia Studio 3 for Free
Yeeha! You read that right! I just heard via Jeff Mulligan (CBMall) that with the recent introduction of Camtasia Studio 5, the nice people at Techsmith are making Camtasia Studio 3.1.2 absolutely free to download.
That version is actually a few steps up from the version 3.0 that I’ve used to make my videos, including the most recent one which is probably not the best example, but the BlogClassroom videos are under lock and key.
You can use Camtasia to record, edit and share your screen videos and it’s pretty easy to get up and running with it, even if you’re not a geek.
To get the free version:
- Download the free trial version of Camtasia Studio 3 (Executable file - Not an affiliate link).
- To get the software key, click the link to register.
- Install and open the program and enter the software key and you’ll have a full working version.
You’ll be able to upgrade to Camtasia Studio 5, later if you want to for only $149, as opposed to the usual $299… but Version 3 should give you all you need.
