What Have You Done?

It seems like only a few short months ago that I posted my work and play resolutions for 2006, and now the year is almost over! Now is the time to start planning for next year.

Bu not so fast… It’s hard to know where you’re going, if you don’t know where you’ve been! Relection is just as critical to your success as planning.

So, what did you do?

NPT Digest: The Internet Marketer’s Laundry List

OK, so what the heck was I thinking?

This week I…

  • Wrote more new content for the Super Affiliate Handbook, including a chapter called “Limes are Greener” - an approach to using Google Adwords that not many people utilize.
  • Then did rewrites on my rewrites…
  • Tried to get THOUSANDS of current SAH owners to confirm/validate their email addresses…
  • Got carpal tunnel syndrome trying to respond to all the Spam Arrest verifications, so figured out a better way to handle the SAH update
  • Built 3 new web pages to support that ‘better way’…
  • Teed up a deal with Joel to handle the SAH updates starting on WEDNESDAY (tomorrow).
(Hint: Don’t surprise your Virtual Assistant.
He or she is your most important link to sanity in this business.
  • Found a ‘better approach’ to Blog Alerts and got fixed that up in Aweber.
(Hint - don’t try to build a new list of blog subscribers. Set the rss-to-email to feed to your current list.)
  • Had a TOTAL bird when I thought that 5 previous blog posts were being automatically delivered to my whole list.
(Another hint - don’t set the feed up to run ‘automatically’).
  • Had another bird when I broke my blog … again!!
(Don’t look at it in Firefox, please.)
  • Posted a job at Elance to get the blog fixed.
Still waiting for the right geek to come along :-)
  • Wrote a press release for a new website…
  • Set up the ‘Best PLR‘ challenge that required reading and pondering…
  • Selected the winners of that challenge.
  • Sent all the ‘TV Stars‘ zipped Handbook files that contained NOTHING…
(I’m STILL working that one out)…
  • Wrote an outline for my next Revenue mag article…
  • Bought and read an interesting marketing manual for poker affiliates…
  • Have been watching Sterling Valentine’s countdown to his BIG LAUNCH DAY (today) with great interest…
  • …and last but not least… wrote this post.

Phew!

OK, that might not seem like much until you know that I was also getting ready to leave home for another month.

(Yes, Anik, I know you told me not to take any more vacations, but I can’t help myself.)

Anyway, spring planting, mowing, raking and trimming (hacking, really) a half acre lot really leaves me wondering why I fired the gardener who ‘came with the house’.

Actually, I thought it would be good exercise and boy, I was RIGHT!

Tuesday morning I fly to Toronto to help my brother and best friend, Ed, finish packing up his house. In 2 weeks we’ll be taking another 2 weeks to sight-see our way back out West.

Yup.

He’s moving in!

Really, what the heck WAS I thinking? (Probably that he likes to cook, and I don’t!) :-)

(Ed and Joel riding Ogopogo in Kelowna, B.C.)

Anyway, it’s getting late and I have yet to pack. More importantly, I need to find out whether Izzie killed Denny.

Have a GREAT week!

Cheers,
Ros

P.S. As for what I was thinking… actually, this is all alot of FUN! :-)

About Your Resolutions for 2006…

How are you making out with those resolutions for 2006? Did you make any? If so, have you started working on them yet?

If you’re struggling with goal-setting at all, you’ll be interested in a free report called “Setting Goals” prepared by the author of XSitePro, Paul Smithson.

He discusses how to set SMART goals.

SMART stands for specific, measureable, actionable (or attributable), realistic and timed.

For a full explanation of what each entails, you may download Paul’s “Setting Goals” PDF here at NPT.

Please right-click and choose “Save Target as” to download the report to your computer.

Happy goal-setting!

Cheers,

Brian Tracy Teleseminar

I started reading Brian Tracy’s work back in the late 80’s and now have almost an entire shelf devoted to Brian Tracy’s teachings in the ’self-improvement’ section of my library … alongside Tony Robbins, Mark Victor Hansen, Wayne Dyer and other inspirational teachers.

A few of those titles include:

If you’re a Brian Tracy fan as well, you’ll be thrilled to hear that you can join Brian LIVE on a teleseminar about goal-setting on January 9th, 2006!

So, what do you want to achieve in 2006?

  • Earn more money?
  • Double your income?
  • Lose weight?
  • Improve your family life?
  • Change your career? (Become a fabulously successful affiliate marketer perhaps?)
  • How about taking complete control of your life?

You can listen to Brian LIVE in person while he shares his secrets to achieving personal success!

You’ll even have a chance to ask Brian questions at the end of the 60-minute teleseminar. (If I wasn’t going to be at the Affiliate Summit, I’d sign up for this teleseminar myself.)

Awesome opportunity. I hope you’ll take advantage of it!
