How They Saved 7K+…

Call me nuts.

I turned down a 7.5K consulting job the other day with 2 fellows who wanted me to help them get an affiliate site and PPC campaigns up and running to profitability. (Actually, they’d initially offered me 10K and I offered to do it for 7.5K.)

On the surface, the job would have been relatively simple.

One of them had read my book and already had a great understanding of the affiliate marketing process that I’ve used successfully since 1998.

Furthermore, the niche they picked was great - I could easily have helped them turn a profit in that sector.

Moreover, I LOVE working with clients who plan to do things right from the outset - and that’s incorporate PPC advertising into their affiliate marketing plan.

So, why did I turn them down? Read more

The Power of PPC, Proprietary Software and Rosalind’s PPC Classroom Bonuses

PPC ClassroomSeptember 25th, 2007 marks the launch of PPC Classroom, Jeremy Palmer and Anik Singal’s mega PPC marketing training course.

I’m excited about the scope of this course and am looking forward to attending it myself. But I’m especially excited for those who have not yet have added pay per click advertising to their marketing efforts and want to learn more about it.

To that end, I’ve detailed some essential points regarding PPC marketing and the training course as follows:

At very least, be sure check out the video to get some valuable research tips and to see one of Jeremy’s affiliate site landing pages.

Just enter your name and email address into the form on the right side of the PPC Classroom landing page to access the Free video.

ROI vs. the Bottom Line

I had a really good chuckle over a comment made by Bob about ROI (return on investment) on the PPC Classroom blog in response to the “#1 Question: How Much Did Jeremy SPEND?” post.

The post reports Jeremy’s earnings as follows:

EARNINGS: Slightly Over $1.4 Million
PPC SPEND: Slightly Over $560,000
Gross Profit: $837,465
ROI: 147%!

September Emerging as “PPC month” for Affiliates

SpeedPPC - PPC Marketing at Warp SpeedAlthough SpeedPPC was released in July, I’ve just accessed a copy and will be writing a thorough review within the next couple of weeks.

From what I’ve seen so far however, it is a brilliant tool for intermediate and advanced search affiliates as well as content publishers who use pay per click search marketing to drive traffic to their affiliate sites.

I advise new affiliates to wait before purchasing this product, as it requires a good understanding of PPC marketing prior to use.

Among the many benefits, the software allows users to track on many levels including on the keyword, ad group and the ad source - the benefit of which is the ability to dramatically improve conversion rates and lower advertising costs.

The biggest advantage of this stand-alone software is fast campaign building, hence the name - SpeedPPC.

Although my full review won’t be ready for a couple of weeks, I convinced Jay Stockwell, SpeedPPC’s developer, to make SpeedPPC available to NPT readers for a SIZEABLE $100 discount, available only through the link below.

Check out SpeedPPC now.

Button - 120X60 - Banner 3Also on the PPC front, my buddies Anik Singal and Jeremy Palmer have combined forces to teach a PPC marketing course at PPCClassroom, scheduled to start on September 25th.

Unlike SpeedPPC, I do HIGHLY recommend this course for new affiliates, ’cause without PPC marketing, your online marketing is just a shot in the dark.

Jeremy, if you aren’t already aware, is THE search affiliate, earning 1.4 MILLION dollars in one year doing only search marketing. (I keep telling him that he would more than double his income if he’d only build a few lists… :-)

Anyway, Jeremy has the edge on this game like no one else, and he spills a few beans about how to “Find Your First 6-Figure Niche for Pay-Per-Click Marketing” in a video on the site.

To see the video, visit PPC Classroom and enter your details.

Happy PPCing!

Microsoft adCenter Adds Negative Keyword at Campaign Level

On Saturday June 23rd, Microsoft adCenter did an upgrade which expanded negative keyword management to the campaign level. This will make campaign management easier for those with numerous ad groups, as negative keywords added at the campaign level apply to all ad groups in the campaign.

Adding ‘negative keywords’ to either your ad groups or your campaigns keeps your ads from being displayed to customers who are unlikely to click your ad - or conversely, to the click-happy crowd.

For example, because I want to attract singles who are willing to pay for dating site memberships to Sage-Hearts.com, I like to add the word ‘free’ to my list of negative keywords, so those searching the web for ‘free dating sites’ won’t see or click on my ads.

BTW, Microsoft adCenter’s new account promo is still in effect. Get started for only $5 and get a $50 credit for ad clicks.

Adsense Arbitragers to Lose Accounts

According to Jennifer Slegg over at Jensense.com, webmasters with MFA (Made for Adsense) sites are getting emails from Google stating that their business model is unsuitable and that their Adsense accounts will be disabled as of June 1st.

WOOHOO!!! YeeHA!!! and it’s about time!

FYI - Webmasters with MFA sites send quanitites of inexpensive pay-per-click traffic to their sites for the sole purpose of having visitors click their Google Adsense or other contextual advertising network ads such as the Yahoo! Publisher Network (YPN). The business model is known as arbitrage.

These sites contain absolutely no content. No informational articles, product endorsements, news or anything else a good affiliate / publisher would place on their site.

Here is a graphic image of a site that came up after searching for ‘running shoes’ at at SearchFeed. Read more

Earn MORE from Your Google Referals

Do you sell products to Internet marketers? Then you’ll appreciate these improvements to the Google referal program.

I talk about using pay-per-click advertising a LOT, because it works! In the latest Affiliate Census, there was a decided correlation between those who achieve success as affiliate marketers and their use of paid search marketing.

And as an affiliate marketer who teaches other affiliate marketers, I appreciate that I can share my knowledge about what works, point you to good service providers and make a few bucks in the process from referals to Yahoo! Search Marketing, Microsoft AdCenter and Enhance Interactive.

However, I was always slightly cheesed in the past with the Google Adwords referal program in which publishers only earned $20 after the advertiser they referred spent $20.

Well, I’m pleased to say that Google has made improvements to their referal program that include bonuses of up to $2000 buckeroos! Read more

Old Dog Learns New PPC Trick

Well, I must say that I’m impressed.

I put the first section of Day Job Killer to the test this past weekend on two different niches — and hurray!!! I’m cleaning up! :-)

The trick is to test first on one small segment of your niche market and get good results and then move to the second, third and forth segments, etc.

If you didn’t pick it up (or didn’t get my email), please read Day Job Killer - What Ros Thinks...

As predicted, Chris and Ken raised the price to $97 from $77, but for the sake of $20, I wouldn’t take a pass. You could easily make your investment in Day Job Killer back in a day.

My Favorite Traffic Strategy

Anik Singal finally convinced me to give up my lazy affiliate ways and be more specific about my favorite traffic generation strategy.

To that end, he and I co-authored a very thought-provoking report that is available for download right away - and we’re not charging for it. This report reveals a “tool” that I started using almost 2 years ago that basically tripled the traffic to my site almost immediately.

Anik has also been using this tool for close to a year and recently just used it to launch a new niche site that generated traffic to it the DAY he launched it (all because of this tool). We not only reveal this tool, but an additional 5 reasons you need to start using it right away as well.

By the way, the tool takes about 3 minutes to install and we give you the URL where you can go get it at absolutely N0 cost…

All in all, this is a *must-have* report. And yes, the report ACTUALLY gives you great resources and links - it’s NOT a “gimmick”!

Read it and Prosper!
