Is it possible in todays internet climate to actually succeed with a slow speed dial up connectilon? Other than satillite that is all I have available where I live.
(way out in the boonies) So far response does not justify the cost for this pursuit.
Which dissapoints me, I think we could prouduce a blog that would help many people. Our goal is not income frome this site but public service.

And I hear ya. My assistant Joel worked for years as a web site designer with a low-speed connection, and although he grumbled about it a lot, he managed to build beautiful cold fusion sites.
I also remember that my low-speed connection would either bog down or terminate when I would try to upload a bunch of HTML pages, way back when.
Nowadays, it’s actually easier to create a site when you have a slow internet connection, because with blogs the template is built in, and the publishing interface is online.
You can write your post using a text or html editor and then just paste it into to your blog immediately.
Ergo, no long waits to get everything uploaded.
So, no need to be disappointed. If what you want to do is start a blog, then don’t let a slow dial up connection stop you.
