BeFree’s GREAT Service… NOT!
On my first attempt to logon to BeFree to get some affiliate links this morning, I was ‘locked out’, because “You or someone else has attempted to log on to the Partner Gateway with your username and an incorrect password the maximum number of times allowed. Your account will be locked for 3 hours”.
So, I sent them a little note to mention that something was amiss with the system.
Here was the auto-generated response:
“Your request has been submitted to an affiliate support representative. If you sent an inquiry to Be Free, allow an average of 5 business days to receive a response. ”
5 days! Christmas will be almost over in 5 flippin’ days.
Actually, the same thing happened a couple of weeks ago… and I’m STILL waiting for a response.
And they wonder why I don’t promote many of their merchants products…
Yikes!
P.S. Sometime later I received a ‘locked out’ notice by email later that contained an Unlock Key, but I’m still ticked about the posted 5-day response time to affiliate requests… that’s crazy!
Another good reason to partner with somewhat smaller, more responsive networks like ShareaSale, Performics and PartnerCentric, just to name a few!
