50 Most Influential Bloggers of 2009: Who’s on the List?
Just got a nice surprise from Kit Elliott who commented that I made Michael Dunlop’s ‘50 Most Influential Bloggers of 2009′ list.
Cool – especially considering Arianna Huffington is also on that list.
Who is Michael Dunlop?
Now 20, Michael launched his first profitable website when he was 16 years old and has been blogging himself rich — making between £1,000 and £1,500 a week according to one newspaper.
By result, Michael says he’s been “fortunate to hang out and interview some of the biggest names online”, people such as Mark Victor Hansen, Yanik Silver, Craig Newmark, (founder of Craigslist.com), Bob Parsons, (Founder and CEO of GoDaddy), Matt Mullenweg, (founding developer of WordPress) and more.
Michael says:
The opportunities with blogging are endless and I hope today’s post of the fifty most influential bloggers of 2009 will inspire you to follow in their footsteps.
Find out who the ‘other 49′ are on Michael’s ‘50 Most Influential Bloggers of 2009‘ list.

Totally agree with that. Perhaps we need to learn from these 50 people and find our own opportunities.
The list is a fantastic one for anyone interested in blogging. Congrats on making the list, Rosalind.
Thanks Joshua!
Congrats on making the list Ros! VERY impressive – particularly given the paucity of women named (only 8). Ladies, there’s obviously room for improvement…
How I wish I could be like those bloggers..(sigh)
littlepreschool,
Looks to me like you’ve just gotten started. Give it time and patience… and most importantly, start adding your own content!
Cheers,
Ros

Nice one on making the list Rosalind. I really like Michael’s website I think I’ll be teaching my son to start a blog. But, he’s only 7 but in 10 years time he could be working fro himself.
congrats. how i wish i could be like them : )
Those 50 people are indeed influential because their blogs are being sought after by many people. I will surely read the article about them. I might get some lessons on their life story.
But one thing that confuses me is that, how can one make money on blogging?
anne dizon they make money to teach others how to make money
(affilate links, ads and thinks like those)
I just read your ‘About Me’ page… too funny! Especially the bit about the Red Cross
Gary Vaynerchuk’s blog is read daily by about 2300 people. In my opinion that’s quite a lot of people.
