LunarPages Improves Hosting Plans
Lunarpages just announced that they’ve increased storage, bandwidth and add-on domains on their UNIX /web hosting plans, in both the basic and business plans.
The add-on domains enable you to host 11 unique websites on one plan and the addition of the Coffee Cup software is a REAL bonus. There are 20 programs in the package, including Coffee Cup’s HTML editor, which is the HTML editor that I’ve used on my laptop for years. (Had to download it on a trip and liked it so much that I kept it on my computer.)
Best of all, Lunarpages uses CPanel, the premium control panel for the web hosting industry. I’ve used other control panels and nothing measures up to CPanel. Visit LunarPages to see a CPanel Demo. Click on “Web Hosting” then “Online Control Panel” for the demo.
Here’s a brief outline of features for both plans: Read more

Google Hates Affiliates: Feedback
Here’s just one of the many comments that I received about my Revenue Magazine article titled “Google Hates Affiliates”. This one is from Richard Gaskin, CEO of Fourth World Media Corporation’s and developer of Webmerge.
Hello Rosalind
I finally got around to the November issue of Revenue magazine and really enjoyed your article, “Google Hates Affiliates”. It was so refreshing to read practical advice rather than the gray-hat tricks so many others resort to.
It’s long been my belief that keeping your focus on adding value to the customer experience is the most profitable long-term strategy. It’s nice to be in such good company on that.
Wishing you a very happy and prosperous new year.
See… it’s not only Google that appreciates (and rewards) affiliate marketers that add value to their sites. Affiliate managers too appreciate those affiliates who focus on customers, rather than tricks.
Why? Because those are the affiliates with the top sales and highest conversion rates.

Adsense Earnings Up by 512% in December
Unlike Joel Comm, I’m not a Google Adsense guru. I’ve never tried to become an Adsense guru, as I’ve always believed that earning a percentage of product sales as an affiliate was preferable to earning a percentage of a click on an Adsense ad. Too, I was worried that sending visitors away from the site through Adsense would decimate my product sales as an affiliate. Lastly, I didn’t want to eat up too much site real estate by displaying a bunch of obvious ads.
Well, my stance has changed completely. During December, my Adsense earnings increased by a whopping 512% over the previous month. As you will see in the screenshots included, November’s earnings were $292.98 while December was $1500.06. Page impressions, Clicks, Page CTR, and Page eCPM all increased as well.
The increase is particularly remarkable from the standpoint that I did not set out to increase my Adsense earnings. As a matter of fact…
- As part of a traffic quality test, I actually suspended a pay per click campaign that had been delivering 2000 - 2500 clicks per day to Sage-Hearts.com.
- I also removed the Adsense ads displayed at the top of the pages at Sage-Hearts.com.
- Product sales during the period actually increased as well.
So why did the earnings increase so much? Well… Read more

So…What Did You Think?
You can learn a lot about marketing from other marketers’ messages and their delivery.
In that vein, I’d like to know what you thought of the Affiliate Marketing Sham report [find out why this link was removed].
Did you find it interesting and informative or piled high with hype? Did the report leave you concerned about the future of affiliate marketing and affiliate[link removed] marketers? Or, did you think ‘X’ was too dramatic in his assessment?
What tactics does X use to build desire for his product? Does ‘X’s’ approach build trust and make you ‘hungry’ to learn more? Why or why not? What do you think of this marketing approach? Would you use it to promote your own or other people’s products?
If you haven’t already done so, take a critical look at the Affiliate Marketing Sham [link removed], then post a Comment with your answers to the above questions.
When enough comments have been posted, I’ll post a follow-up with my own thoughts on the subject.
