John Reese Debunks MSoI
John Reese posted a video to his blog a few days ago in which he disputes the widely held notion that marketers must pursue multiple streams of income (MSoI) in order to succeed.
Although he’s taken a lot of flack for this position, I am in total agreement.
The biggest problem that I encounter with most new marketers in this industry (besides the fact that they don’t build lists) is that they don’t focus on getting the first site right - dare I say ‘perfect’ - or at least to the point where the site is earning a significant chunk of change before they move on to the next project.
Too often they have an internet marketing site and their kitty site and their fashion blog and their credit card site and in most cases, not one of the site is generating affiliate commissions.
To drive the point of FOCUS home during client consultations, I simply refuse to discuss or review more than one website. Work on the first one, get back to me when all the changes are made and IF everything is done, THEN we’ll discuss the second site.

Affiliate Jam Session and Sing-a-Long
The most fun I had at the last Affiliate Summit was at the Sing-a-Long with ShareASale’s Brian Littleton. Lisa Picarille (Revenue Magazine) suggested that it become a regular part of Summit, and that’s exactly what they’re going to do - with a charitable twist.
At Affiliate Summit 2007 West in Vegas, ShareASale is sponsoring the Affiliate Jam Session and Sing-a-Long. All proceeds will go to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southern Nevada.
Here’s a video from the last Affiliate Summit 2006 East Jam Session… and Yes, I’m in there… singing VERY badly.
PRESS RELEASE - Berkeley Heights, NJ (PRWEB) December 8, 2006 — The Affiliate Jam Session and Sing-a-Long, sponsored by Shareasale, will be a live music karaoke and networking party for attendees of Affiliate Summit 2007 West.
There are a number of auctions on eBay where companies can bid to have host Brian Littleton, President/CEO of ShareASale, wear shirts, hats and pins with company logos during the Affiliate Jam Session and Sing-a-Long.
There are lots of other ways to donate and participate. More info at AffiliateMarketersCare.com.

We Used GoToWebinar
A few folks asked what software Jeremy Palmer and I used to put our Black Friday teleseminar online.
We used GotoWebinar.
The service is great, however we discovered too late that there was no way within the GotoWebinar system to record our call. Bummer.
All other aspects of the service were great however, and fairly simple to set up — or so Jeremy tells me. ![]()

ReviewMe.com: Write Reviews for Cash
ReviewMe.com is yet another way for bloggers to monetize their blogs.
How does it work?
Bloggers create a free account to submit their site for inclusion into the ReviewMe publisher network.
If your blog is accepted into the ReviewMe publisher network, you will be paid $20.00 to $200.00 for each completed review that you post on your site.
Just make sure you don’t go into competition with your own affiliate offers for the sake of a piddling 200 bucks.

Make Money with PayPerPost
Want to make some extra money as a blogger? Then take a look at PayPerPost, where advertisers are willing to pay you for your opinion on various topics.
PayPerPost works like this… You get your site approved, then search a list of opportunities, make a blog posting, get your post approved, and then get paid. The two highest paid opportunities available at this time are both from PayPerPost itself, at $20.00 per post. Most opportunities pay between $4.00 and $7.00. I found that the number of opportunities was somewhat limited however, with only 39 showing up this morning.
The site highlights 10 “Top Earners”, all of whom have earned more than $2000.00, and some as much as $3500.00.
Although I didn’t find… Read more
