XSitePro Videos Now Available to EVERYONE!

Previously only available to registered users of the XSitePro software, Paul Smithson has just made access to his 11 professionally produced videos available to everyone - but for a limited time only.

Here are just 3 of the 47 items listed on XSitePro’s ‘feature page’ that make this web site building software very popular with Internet marketers (NPT Forumites talk about XSitePro all the time!):

  1. Add Google Adsense ads into your web pages with just two clicks of your mouse, which means you can add an extra income stream without any extra effort.
  2. Find out in an instant whether you have used your keywords and keyword phrases the correct number of times on each page and quickly make corrections so that you maximize the chance of ranking well in the search engines.
  3. Disguise affiliate links using the redirect feature, which means you can publish much more attractive links that don’t look like direct links to affiliate sites.

If you’ve never seen XSitePro in action now’s your chance.

These videos will give you real insight as to why so many Internet marketers are now using XSitePro on a daily basis.

Cheers,

Ros

Amazon.com - The Grocery Store

You can now buy and sell groceries online through Amazon.com, which has stocked more than 10,000 non-perishable items — a number that is growing every day.

I see this working especially well where affiliates can promote hard-to-find specialty items such as natural and Organic food products which may not be available in everyone’s nearest grocery store… or even hometown.

Like the wheat free and gluten free spaghetti sauce shown here to the left for example, or Bare Naked Granola and Cereals.

As a selling point, all items are eligible for free Super Saver Shipping and Amazon Prime.

I didn’t notice any comments regarding changes to the commission structure in Amazon’s affiliate interface, so it would appear that under the Performance Fee Structure, the referral rate for grocery items will range from 4% to 8.5%, and be based on your total number of shipped items.

Green Mountain Coffee anyone?

NPT Newsletter: Bloggin’ Road Trip

After getting Ed’s stuff loaded into the moving truck (before an audience), he and I spent 8 LONG days travelling across Canada enduring mostly insipid road food and bad coffee.

TJ’s Hangar Sports Bar and Grill was an exception to the food rule and my Starbucks‘ Grande Mocha sporting ‘The Way I See It #76‘ was well worth the trip to Thunder Bay, Ontario, however.

“The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating – in work, in play, in love.

The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”

- Anne Morriss

Starbucks The Way I See It #76

The real saving grace was two days of hiking and fine dining in beautiful Banff and Lake Louise, Alberta.

Having the XM satellite radio was absolutely awesome. If I didn’t know 90% of the words to all the tunes of the 70’s - I certainly know them now! :-)

I’m definitely ordering the components so that I can listen to it at home now too.

(Note: If you’re in Canada and love the CBC, get Sirius Satellite Radio. CBC isn’t on XM.)

Internet access was fairly consistent except in Tobermory, Ontario (population 3436) which suffered a total outage the night we were there.

However, I managed to tap into the docked Chi-Cheemaun Car Ferry’s wireless system using my Sony Vaio. Although the connection terminated when we set sail, I still managed to get a little bit of work done.

In case you missed them, these entries were posted to the blog in the past two weeks:

Over the next week, be on the lookout for the following posts:

  • Commissions Completely Tanked!
  • Affiliate Marketers Respond to CJ’s LMI
  • Ed Gets Keen about Internet Marketing
  • …and more!

‘Til next time… promote and prosper!

Training for Affiliate Managers

On June 27, 2006, Anik Singal’s Affiliate Classroom will be launching their new Affiliate Manager Training course.

As you probably already know, one of the best ways to market your product is to have OTHERS sell it for you… and this new course will teach you how to do exactly that.

You’ll learn how to set up an affiliate program, recruit and train your affiliates, then keep them motivated to keep sell your products.

Some of the contributors to this project include: Yanik Silver, Shawn Collins, Jeff Mulligan, Ben Edelman and yours truly.

Affiliate Classrom is also offering “Can Affiliate Sales Change the Course of Your Business?” as a free report.

Included in the report are:

  • The Six Types of Affiliates
  • The Three Best Ways to Communicate with Your Affiliates, and;
  • some Straight Talk from Top Marketers about Managing Your Affiliates

Although the course doesn’t launch until June 27th, you can get your copy of the “Can Affiliate Sales Change the Course of Your Business?” report right now.

How NOT to Post Testimonials: DVDDropShip Example

Anthony Hamerton of S & H Promotions was kind enough to drop me a line and point me to the following:

Carla James

Hmm… you might recognize that picture from the Super Affiliate Handbook homepage. It’s me in front of my computer.

According to DVDDropship however, my name is Carla James and I’m married to Ian.

Wow! I don’t even know Ian!

Too, I apparently like DVDDropship enough to have written the merchant a testimonial.

Duh.

Actually, I’m still Ros and I’ve never heard of DVDDropship before getting Anthony’s note.

I could have contacted the site to have it removed, but I thought you’d appreciate actually seeing what you’ve always known — not all online marketers operate with integrity.

Too, I’d like to help potential buyers of this product by highlighting the fact that DVDDropShip acts in a fraudulent manner, and is therefore not to be trusted.

I do that by naming them in our blog (DVDDropShip) and then hope that our blog entry comes high in the search results for their name.

Let’s hope, shall we? :-)

Posting testimonials on your site - whether it is a product site or an affiliate site - is a good thing. Just make sure that they are REAL.

Cheers,
Ros

Update on Colin McDougall

Many of you have asked for an update on Colin McDougall’s progress since reading about his affiliate marketing near disaster and amazing recovery in “The “Come=Back” Affiliate‘ in late January.

So I asked Colin if I could share some of our email exchanges with you and he agreed.

Here are portions from 3 of our email ‘chats’.

Hey Ros,

Here is how things have gone with campaign:

  1. 2 weeks planning
  2. Campaign is 1 month in
  3. Profit on Campaign over 30 days is $US12788
  4. List is at 987 Subscribers which for last 7 days has produced $30/day

The bulk of the earnings has come in the last 2 weeks as I made some refinements to the campaign.

For the first 2 weeks the campaign produced about $100/day and 30 new subscribers.

I tweaked and the record day was $2k with 200+ new subscribers

Colin

In another email Colin reported:

Many of my customers ask me what my target earnings are on a site before I build another site.

My response: I want 10k subscribers per site that I have before I launch any more.

Colin

… a GREAT tip…

In every biz my core focus is now “The List” – A list is an amazing thing – It is an incredible foundation.

I regret not doing this 5 years ago – I would have been doing close to $1Million per month if I had adopted list building from the start.

… and MORE good tips…

Now have almost 2000 subscribers over the course of about 2 months (The first 2 weeks were slow though in building the campaign) so really 2k subscribers in 6 weeks - Not bad….still tweaking and refining. Getting to “know” my list.

I am researching more topics to start the next list but the key to success for me has really come down to focusing on a handful of categories and dominating those.

Category #1 is going incredibly well.

Feel free to use the last correspondence. You certainly were my inspiration to get off my butt and start building a list.

Anyway… off to work on latest campaign – Been crunching numbers and looks very very good – If all works out I will have an additional $40k/month residual coming in thanks to your inspiration!!!

You Rock!!!

Colin

And Colin and his efforts defnitely ROCK.

To learn more about Colin’s affiliate marketing strategies, check out his VEO Report.

To find out how Colin got ‘off his butt’, read the Super Affiliate Handbook. :-)

Ros

Corey Rudl Remembered

June 2nd, 2006 marked the 1st anniversary of Corey Rudl’s untimely passing.

In remembrance, Derek Gehl republished his June 23rd, 2005 article entitled, “How to Eat, Sleep, and Breathe like an Internet Marketing Genius: What I Learned from My Good Friend and Colleague, Corey Rudl — Genius Internet Marketer, Inspirational Leader, and Mentor to Thousands ” in this week’s Marketing Tips newsletter.

Derek says, “These are a collection of the five most profound lessons I learned from Corey over the last eight years, some of which he loudly expressed to me (Corey talked loud and fast when he got excited)… and some he quietly but effectively shared through his living example.”

Not only do Corey’s lessons teach how to build and conduct a great business - they are a guide for creating and living a great life - which is what Corey did.

We will remember you Corey, your life and your lessons.

With gratitude,
Ros
