Time Is Of The Essence!
So… how much would YOU pay for a chocolate mint?
I’ve written about this before. But — time is now of the essence. Alan R. Bechtold’s Saturday Success Seminar Series is, without question, the biggest business marketing and success training bargain I’ve ever seen. In fact, it’s everything you could possibly expect to get at a regular live seminar event — with the possible exception of a mint on your pillow — for only $97.
The Saturday Success Seminar Series features 15 top-flight leading experts in business marketing and success, each delivering more than an hour of rock-solid information, tips and strategies — more than 20 hours total — including Power Point slides, software demonstrations, live on-screen, and answering your questions directly.
And you don’t have to pack a bag, book airfare, rent a hotel room, budget for food on the road, sleep in a strange bed, arrange a kennel for your pets or miss a single valuable minute working your business or job to attend, because it all comes streaming directly to your favorite home or office computer, via the Internet.
There are four presentations each Saturday throughout July (July 1, 8, 15 and 29). For one full day, on each of those Saturdays, you can get cozy in your most comfortable clothes, enjoy your favorite refreshments and learn and interact with the sharpest minds in business marketing and success on the planet.
For only $97.
It simply doesn’t get any better than this! You can even watch any sessions you miss, because online recordings of each session will be made available to you shortly after each Saturday session and throughout the following two full months. Every session will also be simulcast on a teleseminar line — so you can listen in by phone, if you’re not near a computer but you still want to get in on the training.
Check this out NOW! Seats ARE limited and all seat sales close for good after June 30, 2006.
Visit the Saturday Success Seminar Series site NOW, to read all about this truly unique training event and sign up TODAY! Seriously — at this price, it’s a no-brainer.
If you HAVE to have a mint on your pillow to feel like you’re at a seminar — take the $1500 or so you’ll save over the price of attending most live seminars and buy a whole box of mints. Put ten mints on your pillow each night if you want — but don’t miss this event!
Go there TODAY! Don’t wait another minute. Register now, so you know you’re in — then go buy those mints and join us starting Saturday, July 1, at 11:00 a.m. eastern.
Cheers,
Ros

He’s One SMART Affiliate Manager!
I found the following included in the MPwH (an HPV dating site) affiliate newsletter.
“By the way, if you want to really get into the affiliate marketing business, we highly recommend the book by Rosalind Gardner, well known as one of the Internet’s most successful marketers.
I read this book and it was how come I ended up setting up our affiliate program the way it is. It shows how to run your website to make the most from affiliate programs.
Rosalind was our first affiliate - after we came up to the standards laid out in her book!”
AJ, the affiliate manager at MPwH, told it like it happened… I didn’t agree to promote MPwH right away, but helped him get his affiliate program together until it worked like a charm for affiliates.
I also noticed that AJ linked to the Super Affiliate Handbook with his own affiliate link.
Now, that’s one smart affiliate manager! Not only does he build a better program, he wants to have trained affiliates.
Do your affiliates need training?
Send them to the Super Affiliate Handbook and earn some more affiliate coin in the process!
Even Clickbank merchants can benefit.
Simply add a brief description of the SAH to your own affiliate signup page (you DO have one don’t you?) that pops a window to the Handbook.
You’ll earn a commission from the sale… and better yet, your affiliates will sell more of YOUR product.
Talk about a win-win-win proposition that makes everybody happy.
Visit http://superaffiliatehandbook.com/affiliates.php and join our affiliate program today.
Cheers,
Ros
P.S. If YOU would like to receive training as an affiliate manager or online merchant with an affiliate program, I can’t recommend anything better than Affiliate Classroom’s recently released, “The Affiliate Manager - 1st Edition“.
That’s ’cause there isn’t anything better. ![]()

How to Build a Better Affiliate Program
There are companies on the internet who do over $300 million in revenue a year and over $100 million of that comes from affiliate marketing.
In fact, MarketingSherpa estimates that affiliate marketers will make over 6.5 Billion in commissions in 2006!
That’s a HUGE lot of dough.
Seriously, if you are an online merchant and don’t have an affiliate program, what the heck are you waiting for?
MORE incentive?
OK, here’s some incentive…
How about having thousands of affiliated sites constantly sending traffic to your site?
Better yet, you pay commissions only when a sale, lead or click (one or all - it’s up to you) is generated.
Not only does having an affiliate program increase your site’s traffic, having thousands of sites mentioning YOUR company’s name builds your brand recognition.
Simply having a handful of Super Affiliates promoting your products can increase your revenues enormously.
Who doesn’t want that?
ALL merchants do!
And consider this… without a program, you’re missing out on the Internet’s most valuable marketing channel.
OK, before you rush over to CJ or Linkshare to set up an advertiser’s account, there are a few things you should know about creating a really successful affiliate program.
I’m serious - you can kill your reputation as a great online merchant if you don’t have a likewise great affiliate program.
Fortunately, Affiliate Classroom has just launched “The Affiliate Manager - 1st Edition“, which is a complete course on “How to Build and Manage an Unstoppable Online Sales Force”.
Moreover, “The Affiliate Manager - 1st Edition” is the only course of its kind just for affiliate program managers.
I’ve gone through the course, and as a Super Affiliate, I especially appreciate the advice Anik and his team give on training affiliates to gain competitive advantage as well as how to recruit and retain super affiliates.
The advice is bang on, and it’s really unfortunate that all affiliate program managers and merchants don’t employ their tactics.
In addition to affiliate recruitment and training, the “The Affiliate Manager - 1st Edition” also teaches how to promote and advertise your program and what to write in your affiliate newsletter to make it a powerful motivational tool. (I can’t believe how many affiliate managers NEVER write a newsletter to make regular contact with their affiliates.)
The course includes a training manual binder, CD’s, DVD’s and checklists of everything you need to know.
Actually, what is shown below doesn’t even include the package bonuses.

The course launches tomorrow, June 27th, and besides the course itself, Affiliate Classroom is offering some amazing bonuses, which are unfortunately time or quantity limited to early purchasers.
I say that “The Affiliate Manager - 1st Edition” is an absolute “must-have” if you plan to start an affiliate program OR if you already have an affiliate program that you want to improve.
Speaking of improving your affiliate program, Affiliate Classroom says “You can increase your sales by 50 - 120% in less than 5 days - even if you just us one of our strategies!”
They’re right.
So get your hot-off-the-presses copy of “The Affiliate Manager - 1st Edition” and start building your business with the best salesforce online… affiliate marketers!
Cheers,
Ros
P.S. If you visit the site before their launch, be sure to sign up for the FREE report, check out the video and the nice folks at Affiliate Classroom will let you know as soon as the course is available for purchase. FABULOUS!

Affiliate Marketing: Mixing Pleasure with Business
Here in the land of Peaches and Beaches we’re now into full-on summer, which brings with it the joys of swimming, hiking, biking and an endless supply of fruit. There are also wine festivals, sailing regattas and of course, the annual Pacific Northwest Elvis Festival.
As a car buff, I particularly enjoy the Peach City Beach Cruise, which is billed as “Canada’s premier family oriented Rod, Antique and Classic Car Show”.
All manner of fabulous cars line up and parade along our beachfront “Magic Mile” while restaurant patrons vigorously encourage passing drivers to “SPIN those tires!”.
Aaah… but how I love the roar of big engines and the fragrance of burning rubber on a sultry summer evening in late June.

Ed and I joined the parade last Friday night in my new/old 1991 Mercedes Benz 500sl Roadster (AMG)… and no, I did NOT spin my tires… really, I didn’t!
But boy, we had fun!
And once again, I have to thank affiliate marketing for my good fortune and all the ‘extra’ fun I’ve enjoyed since I became an affiliate marketer back in 1998.
Sure, it takes work to ‘get there’, and all those summer diversions make it more difficult to sit down at your computer and get to work.
But if you do it ‘right’ - select and master a niche in which you’re interested - you get to talk (write, blog) about what’s fun for you, which is the next best thing to being there and doing the fun stuff.
Better yet, getting the work done gets you more toys (or more savings, if you’re so inclined) and even more ways to have fun.
So, get it done.
Take an hour and write that product review or newsletter and post it to your blog. You’ll be amazed how writing just one post everyday builds your web presence, your list and your revenues.
Then go HAVE fun!
Cheers,
Ros
P.S. The ’sister’ car in the photograph belongs to my buddy, Jonathan, who makes his fortune buying and selling on eBay.

Ed Gets Keen about Internet Marketing
So, Ed has been a resident of ‘The Valley’ for 2 weeks now and is starting to settle into his new abode (my house) and his new role (retiree) quite well.
As we were planning this venture, we discussed how Ed planned to occupy his time, other than play golf and do 3 million handyman jobs around my circa-1955-constantly-in-need-of-maintenance property.
When I suggested that he assist me in my business to supplement his retirement income, he eagerly accepted the proposal.
That said, you should know a little bit more about Ed…

Congratulations Shawn Collins!
Shawn Collins, Affiliate Summit co-founder (along with Missy Ward of CPAEmpire) won the Performance Marketing’s Most Vocal Affiliate award at the Third Annual LinkShare Golden Link Awards held in New York City Tuesday night.
WAY to go, Shawn!
… although you have to find it interesting that Shawn - THE Most Vocal Affiliate - isn’t listed as a speaker at his own event.

Here’s the old look: |

And here’s the new multi-product unit. When you mouseover the images the unit automatically refreshes the description, best deals, etc. |

Commission Junction’s Link Management Initiative (LMI)
If you’re a CJ publisher, you received news about Commission Junction’s Link Management Initiative (LMI).
If not, here’s a snippet:
On June 23, 2006, JavaScript links will become Commission Junction’s default link type in the CJ Marketplace. However, we will continue to offer Legacy links through the beginning of 2007. The Legacy links will be available for all your advertiser relationships, including those joined to before and after June 23, 2006. At this time we have not scheduled a date for which the Legacy links will no longer be available or supported. We will notify you at least six months in advance of making this change and will not require the change during the 2006 holiday season.
BTW, ‘legacy links’ is the new term for your old links.
Publishers’ (affiliate) reaction to the proposed change has been primarily negative.
In addition to the nasty business of having to change all your links out, javascript tends to be slow, and crawls at a snails pace as more JS links are added to a page.
I know, ’cause I completely ruined one of my sites awhile back by incorporating one merchant’s javascript links throughout the site. Add ‘em all in, take ‘em all out again… what fun!
Here’s what Helen S. Montgomery, Editor of Affiliate Classroom Magazine had to say when I asked for their reaction to the change:
“From an affiliate’s perspective, CJ’s move to javascript links is troubling because:
- The move to javascript links does not mesh with current Web standards.
- Using javascript links is incompatible with current affiliate marketing best practices.
- The cost of changing millions of legacy links will largely fall on affiliates, who already bear a major portion of customer acquisition costs for the merchants they represent.”
Joel Comm, author of the best-selling Adsense book, “What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense“, said “Ros, it’s gonna be a pain!”.
Ok, that’s an understatement.
I can’t repeat what Colin McDougall (VEO Report) told me, but suffice to say that he and many others are pulling their Commission Junction links (read merchants) off their sites.
What do you think?
Whatever you think, check out other’s comments and add your remarks to Scott Jangro’s petition.
Scott will be delivering the petition to Commission Junction.
Cheers,
Ros
