What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small harmless text file that is attached to your hard drive when you browse certain web sites.

The cookie contains information used to identify you as a specific user, such as your user ID, password and user preferences that makes future visits to the website more interactive.

Cookies also contain affiliate identification to credit the right affiliate with the referal. In some cases, merchants credit the first affiliate to refer a customer to their site with the sale, and in other cases they credit the last affiliate.

In order to take advantage of bonuses that I offer from time to time in association with the purchase of a specific product through my affiliate links, I ask that you delete your cookies prior to clicking the affiliate link and buying the product.

How can I delete cookies?

To delete cookies and clear out temporary files in Internet Explorer 5 and above, follow the directions below:

  4. That opens a new window called "Delete Browsing History".
  5. Click on "Delete Cookies" (as shown bordered in red in the image below), then click on "Yes" in the window that pops up to confim the action. Now wait for the computer to indicate that it has finished the task.

NOTE: To free up additional space on your computer, you might also want to continue to "Delete Temporary Files" and "Delete History" while in the "Delete Browsing History" window.
