Ros' Ramblings

I do hope you're enjoying a fabulous summer, or a pleasant
winter if you live in the Southern Hemisphere.

My summer so far has been absolutely awesome.

As you may know, I recently moved back to the Okanagan
Valley in British Columbia, Canada. Located on the northern
edge of the Sonoran desert that starts in Mexico, summer
temperatures are typically around 38C/100F.

Given huge lakes for swimming and boating, mountains for
hiking, and endless golfing opportunities and the  Okanagan
is one big playground.

Living in a resort town is a calling card for visitors.

You might be wondering how I manage to get any 'real' work
done while moving to a new town, then entertaining house
guests.

Well, I haven't really.

The web sites just keep doing their thing day in and day
out, fed traffic from pay per click advertising campaigns
that were set up long ago.

I wrote a series of newsletters back in May, and queued them
up for delivery during May, June and July. On the day of
delivery I may add a few notes about the previous week's
events.

The tool that allows me to do this, and the one that
almost everyone is now switching over to, is Aweber's

My assistant Joel reads and responds to email and handles
administrative duties. Those who have dealt with him know
how incredibly fortunate I am to have him working for me.

All that frees me up to PLAY, and that was the objective all
along. My top New Year's resolution for the many years has
been 'Relax'.

Well, I'm finally there... and it's all thanks to a
few years of work with incredible technology that once in
place, just keeps chugging along.

You can be 'there' too... and probably in less time than
it has taken me and many of my colleagues.

Pick a topic, learn how to use the technology, and then
DO it!

Error Correction - Online Surveys

The feature article in the June 29th, 2004 issue of the NPC,
was 'Income Streams: How to Get Paid for Your Opinion'.

Well, that turns out not to be the case.

The others are therefore, in my opinion, still excellent.
