Ros' Ramblings

Well, the last couple of weeks sure have been busy with new
product releases and by result, NPC Specials.

While I do my best to mail out only on Tuesdays, I can't
schedule others' project completion or teleseminar dates.

I simply let you know after my product reviews are complete,
and in a timely manner to be of use to you.

Some take exception to the extra messages, but those who
REALLY want to learn about this business appreciate ALL the
news they can get
.

Not interested in that RE seminar?   No problem! Read and
delete.

Really interested in that teleseminar on how to put together
a membership site?

Great! Sign up for it.

I just present you with what I think are the best ideas,
instructional and inspirational materials available  for a
variety of online business pursuits and interests.

That's the beauty of business online... there's a huge
variety of possible paths you can take.

Look at the people profiled in John Evans' "Success Alert".
Ordinary people, extraordinary results.

http://netprofitstoday.com/success-alert

... or Richard Queck's newly released "Zoom: How to  'Role
Model' Your Way to Internet Success
!" More than 500 pages of
interviews with FIFTY highly successful internet marketers.

http://netprofitstoday.com/zoom

By the way, although Zoom normally sells for $147, I've
arranged a huge discount for you as an NPC subscriber. You
can get it for only $67 through the link above.

All great stuff... fabulously inspirational.

Speaking of inspirational...

There are days when I sweat great drops of blood as I try to
craft the perfect product endorsement or article for one of
my newsletters.

Ya, I know...there's no such thing as perfect, but still I
DO try.

Knowing which elements in any piece of writing are most
important
to the reader makes my job so much simpler, because
it allows me to concentrate my efforts in those directions.

Having some nifty tools to automate the process is also a
blessing.

In today's NPC, you'll learn about some tricks of the
trade I use to make writing for the web faster and
easier.

To Your Success,
Rosalind

I DID Miss...

Southern Alberta is a part of the world that doesn't see a
lot of rain.

So when it rains all day long, as it did the Sunday before
last, things tend to go awry.

One of those 'things' was my telephone line, which was out
for two whole days - so I missed the JVPC launch tele-
conference.

Here is what Jack Hughes told me about the call...

The call last night was hugely successful, with a total of
14 of our marketing experts participating. We even had Elsom
Eldridge drop in for a bit!

Robert Imbriale, Joel Christopher, Mark Hendricks, Lynn
Pierce, Scott Britner all answered the same thing when asked
why they had become involved in the Joint Venture Power
Circle - they joined because of the opportunity of being
part of a group of talented internet marketers.

When a group like this gets together on a project, a type of
magical synergy happens, and the result is incredible.
Robert likened it to Jay Abraham's 'mastermind' concept
(something that Napoleon Hill preached as well, in "Think
and Grow Rich".

And the fact is, this 'mastermind' group is willing to share
their thoughts and ideas and experience with the members of
the site. There is a discussion forum included in the site,
and all experts and members are encouraged to join together
to discuss their challenges and successes. This was seen as
a very positive aspect of the Power Circle.

The call was recorded, so NPC subscribers can hear all 90
minutes of it  for free - what a bargain!

This was the first of a series of teleseminars and webcasts
that are being scheduled right now. Tuesday, June 15, Mark
Hendricks will be interviewed at 8:00 pm eastern, 5:00pm
Pacific. time. This call will be open to the public, and it
will be free. Registration is available on the site.

To hear either the recording or tonite's interview with Mark
Hendrick, please visit JVPC at:

Quick! What's the Most Important Part of Your Message?

Whether you're writing an article, email, letter of
endorsement, sales page or even a book, your first objective
is to immediately grab the  readers attention.

Consider this.  How do you decide whether or not you'll read
an email, or pick a book off the store shelf? Is it the
color of the book that grabs you? The pretty picture on the
dust jacket?

Probably not.

It's the title of the book that compels you to pick it up,
or the subject line of an email that makes you hit 'Delete'.

Great headlines evoke emotion and prompt action. Successful
titles  fill the reader with intrigue and create excitement
in the message. Some make a direct promise to help solve a
problem.

Take the title of my book for example. "The Super Affiliate
Handbook: How I Made $436,797 in ONE Year Selling Other
People's Stuff Online
". Within a bold red star on the cover
it says "I do it, and you can do it too!"

Catchy, huh? That probably makes you wonder exactly how the
heck I did that, doesn't it?

Well, that's exactly what I wanted people to think, and it
has worked like a charm.

The Super Affiliate Handbook became a Clickbank best-seller
within a week of its release, and has remained in the #1
spot of Clickbank's B-2-B category ever since.

Do you think that would have been the case had I called it,
"The Super Affiliate Handbook"?

Z-z-z-z-z-z. How boring.

Boring headlines aren't an option if you want to stay in
business - not to mention prosper.

Here's what the experts say about the awesome power
of headlines:

Ted Nicholas, master copywriter said:

"Based on hundreds of tests conducted, a good headline can
be as much as 17 times more effective than a so-so headline.
And this is with exactly the same body copy!"

David Ogilvy, an advertising genius extraordinaire said:

"On the average, 5 times as many people read the headlines
as read the body copy. It follows that unless your headline
sells your product, you have wasted 90% of your money."

Victor Schwab, author of the book, How To Write A Good
Advertisement, said:

"Some of the most tremendous flops among advertisements
contain body matter filled with convincing copy. But it just
wasn't capsuled into a good headline. And so the excellent
copy didn't even get a reading."

John Caples, another advertising guru, had this to say:

"... I spend hours on headlines -- days if necessary. And
when I get a good headline, I know that my task is nearly
finished. Writing the copy can usually be done in a short
time, if necessary. And that advertisement will be a good
one that is if the headline is really a "stopper".

I work the same way as Mr. Caples does - by writing my titles
first. Once I have that done, then writing the copy,  the
article or that chapter becomes really easy.

Writing a great title can be a tough job, but the results
are enormously worthwhile.

The right headline or title will put more eyeballs on your
body copy, and the more people who read your message
completely  the merrier your sales figures.

Try it. Spend some time crafting the perfect headline and
watch your sales numbers and conversion rates go through the
roof!

My brain aches some days after staring at a blank screen for
too long. It really hurts when my deadline is looming large

your writing tasks?
