I think that self-confidence and belief in your own ability
to succeed is the MOST important key to personal and business
success - first, last and always.

Sure, you can learn the mechanics of a job, but if you don't
truly BELIEVE that you can do the job, success is nigh
impossible.

I know this from first-hand experience.

My first attempt to become an air traffic controller was
unsuccessful for one reason - I had no confidence in my
ability. I was plain (plane? :-)) scared.

Then, after working for six years as a Flight Service
Specialist, I had enough aviation experience that I wanted
to give air traffic control another try.

This time I KNEW, without a doubt, that I could do it.

I was right. Not only did I get my ATC licence - I got it
in record time.

But I was actually 'right' both times.

When I thought I wouldn't succeed, I didn't, and when I KNEW
I could succeed, I did!

Getting to that point involved more than simply changing my
mind, however.

I sought help to build my confidence. I read all the

how to build and maintain thought patterns that guaranteed
my success.
