Ros' Ramblings
I am STILL pumped after attending and speaking at the JV
Summit two weekends ago in Vegas.
While I've always found this business exciting, I feel like
I'm only now starting to appreciate just HOW exciting it can
be.
And you know, I come to the realization that it's all about
joint ventures.
Everything we do is about connecting with someone else to
work something out in the best interest of both parties.
But you have to get out there and network. Network with
merchants, customers, colleagues and competitors.
And the easiest way for you to build a wide network online
is through your own newsletter, 'cause if you've got good
info, all those folks will be signed up for it.
I know. I'm always telling you that you must have a
newsletter to make this business work, and that much is
true.
What I realized this week however, is that I've never told
you HOW to write a newsletter.
I've told you to get an autoresponder or mailing list
service and start sending out a newsletter... but nothing
about format or frequency.
Yikes. Sorry!
Fortunately, while I was in Vegas, I ended up speaking at
length with Michael Green of the HowtoCorp.
If you've never heard of Michael before, he hosts the
largest internet marketing forum, AND sells a range of 16
different products online.
Check out his forum at:
How To Forum
One of the products he offers is called "How to Build a
Newsletter Tookit".
So, thinking about my dereliction of duty, I got the toolkit
this weekend.
It's awesome.
In it he tells HOW he used a newsletter as his primary marketing method to bring his offline
business out of the hole and into the black - to the tune of
MILLIONS!
He does the same with his online business.
"How to Build a Newsletter" covers everything you ever
wanted to know about newsletters... from layout to fonts,
length to publication frequency, and everything in between.
If you don't already have a newsletter, I highly recommend
you pick up Michael's "How to Build a Newsletter Tookit"
today.
How to Build a Newsletter Tookit
If you DO have a newsletter, get it anyway... but only if
you want a flood of customers to your online or offline
store. :-)

And yes, this applies to affiliate marketers... ESPECIALLY
affiliate marketers. I really hate to see affiliates
leaving money on the table, which is what they're doing
if they don't have a newsletter.
Speaking of affiliate marketing, I Googled myself yesterday
and came across this review of the Super Affiliate Handbook.

It always blows me away when other webmasters get higher
placement on my name than my own http://RosalindGardner.com -
but in this case, it's OK. :-))
'Til next time, keep working at it... it WILL pay off!
