Greetings!

As the saying goes, the best-laid plans of mice and men
often go awry. So it seems, do mine.

If you read the second-last edition of the NPC, you know how
thrilled I was with pre-loading my autoresponder to send
that issue out while I basked under the Mexican sun.

Not only that, but I wrote the next issue before I left for
Mexico, to be sent the day after my return.

So, if I'm such a good planner, why is THIS issue late??

Well, I completely over-estimated my ability to recover from
the surgery I had last Friday. I fully expected to feel well
enough to write my newsletter on Monday as per usual.

Wrong!

Instead of working, I've been confined to the couch to do
some seriously slack-jawed channel surfing. I've watched
hour after stimulating hour of "The Simple Life", "Trading
Spaces" and a variety of other twaddle that I previously had
the sense to forsake.

And my brain is STILL addled from the anaesthetic.

But that's OK... the Internet is on my side. If this were a
one-person brick and mortar business, I'd have lost a week's
income.

As it stands, business is awesome, and I've lost only brain
cells.
